Un procedimiento para preparar una sal de un ácido monoalcohil(secundario)-sulfúricoque comprende sulfataren una zona de reacción de sulfataciónuna o más olefinas de C8 a C22con ácido sulfúricoen presencia de por lo menos 15 por ciento en molesbasado en la olefinade uno o más alcoholes secundarios de C8 a C22 añadidosneutralizar el ácido monoalcohil(secundario) sulfúrico así formado para preparar la sal del mismorecuperar uno o más alcoholes secundarios de C8 a C22 del producto de reacción de neutralización y devolver el alcohol recuperado a la zona de reacción de sulfatación.
