Abstract

Ceramic veneers produced from a low-viscosity slip by drying and firing of the slip remain flat during firing and subsequent cooling if the veneer comprises at least two different layers produced from slips and having either different shrinkages on firing and/or different coefficients of thermal expansion in the fired state, where the shrinkages and coefficients of expansion of the individual layers are set so that the veneer is flat.
