Abstract

The coating which is esp. of polyethylene pref. comprises 12-100 g/m2 and the paper grammage is pref. 70-700 esp. 100-130 g/m2. The printing may be effected with an ink which is resistant to temps =325 degrees C or by intaglio or by flexographic printing. The polyolefin layer is applied as a melt by extrusion. Wall paper or tapestry. The thermoplastic layer, protects the prints against mechanical damage and aggressive washing agents. The polyolefin layer is non-toxic and its application as a melt does not give rise to pore formation and other drawbacks associated with use of solutions.
