Abstract

Coating powder, esp. for electrostatic application of conducting substrates, contains a powdered polymer with units derived from (I) 1-30 esp. 5-10 wt. % 2-8C hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate, esp. 2-hydroxy-ethyl methacrylate, (II) 1-30 esp. 4-6 wt. % alpha, beta-ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid esp. (meth)acrylic acid, and (III) 55-98 esp. 84-91 wt. % 1-18C alkyl (meth)acrylate, e. g. ethyl acrylate, opt. mixing with =60 wt. % other alpha, beta-ethylenically unsatd. monomer 7-95 esp. 30-70% of the acid groups in the polymer being neutralised. Has good flow properties in the molten state.
