Abstract

A switching device having contacts with a coating consisting of at least two layers in which the inner layer having a thickness of at least 0.5 mu m consists of metal having a melting point of more than 1800 DEG C and provided with a layer having a thickness of 0.01 - 1 mu m consisting of a metal having a melting point of less than 500 DEG C and preferably provided with a layer of noble metal having a melting point of more than 1800 DEG C with a thickness of 0.1 - 5 mu m.
