Abstract

Improvements in engine fuel supply systems, characterized in that the system comprises, in combination, a pump to supply fuel to the engine, an actuator to control the pump output, a control circuit to control the actuator, and means transducers to provide said control circuit with at least two input signals representing system parameters, so that the fuel supply to the engine is controlled, at least one of said transducer means including an amplifier whose output is fed to the circuit control, said amplifier having a potential failure condition in which the voltage at the output of the amplifier is such that the fuel supplied to the engine is increased, the system including means to detect said failure condition and then reduce or cut the fuel supply to the engine.
