Fire extinguishing apparatus comprising a spray head, which in turn comprises: a body defining an inlet, an outlet and a fluid circulation duct therebetween, said duct comprising a tank adapted to retain a chemical fire extinguishing medium; a valve arranged within said conduit to selectively control the circulation of fluids through it; and an actuator sensitive to environmental conditions, coupled to said valve and intended to produce actuation thereof in response to a predetermined condition.
