Some improvements in ice cream vending machines and the like, of the type intended for the manufacture and/or continuous sale of ice cream, characterized by the combination of an ice cream mixing chamber and freezing thereof, a bowl arranged on top of said chamber for storing ice cream mix in liquid state, a conduit for connecting said upper tank to the freezing chamber and a refrigerant circuit comprising a motor-compressor group, a condenser, a first evaporator surrounding said freezing chamber, a second evaporator surrounding said tub, said second evaporator being connected in series with the first evaporator of the refrigeration circuit, a thermostat mounted in the above mentioned tub and bypass means controlled by said thermostat and arranged in the refrigeration circuit between the first and second evaporators, to insert or isolate said second evaporator with respect to the refrigerant circuit.
