Abstract

A method and its corresponding data printing apparatus, the apparatus comprising a slide consisting of needles or styles intended to scan a record sheet to generate an output document, said needle device including a plurality of electrode elements that slide along of said record sheet for producing markings in response to the electrical signals applied to the electrode elements, a device consisting of a coding matrix for generating said electrical signals in response to the applied data information, said coding matrix comprising a first means to selectively excite at least some of said electrode elements to print a type in an alphanumeric mode, and a second means to selectively excite at least one of said electrode elements to print at least one line of information in a facsimile mode .
