Abstract
A process for preparing a polyester resin that is resistant to shrinkage by curing, and that can be uniformly pigmented, comprising: A) dissolving an unsaturated polyester, formed by condensing at least one dicarboxylic acid containing alpha, beta-ethylenic unsaturation with a divalent alcohol in an alpha, beta-ethylenically unsaturated copolymerizable monomer; b) dissolving a saturated polyester, of a saturated polyester formed by condensing at least one dicarboxylic acid with at least one divalent alcohol, so that the resulting condensation product has a molecular weight of between 2,000 and 10,000,000 in an alpha copolymerizable monomer, beta-ethylenically unsaturated; c) mixing the solutions prepared according to steps a) and b) above to form said polyester resin which is resistant to shrinkage by curing and which can be uniformly pigmented.
