Abstract

A method of developing an electrostatic latent image on an imaging surface, comprising: providing an applicator having a substantially uniform design of raised sections and depressed or depressed sections of volume; said depressed sections containing developer quantities of a developer liquid having a resistivity of mass greater than 1010 ohm cm., while said raised sections are essentially free of developer liquid; placing said applicator in contact with or adjacent to said imaging surface, such that the developer liquid is electrostatically attracted from the applicator to said imaging surface.
