Electrical circuit breaker device, comprising an arc discharger, within which an arc is adapted to be driven, in order to extinguish the arc, characterized in that said arc arrester comprises: A) a pair of side walls spaced apart, of a first insulating material, extending along the length of said arch, B) a pair of conductive arc slides, spaced apart within said unloader, to define paths, along which the terminals of said arc are moved, when the arc is driven within said unloader, C) said slides having refractory metal surfaces along a main portion of the paths traveled by said arc terminals during the interruption of the circuit, D) a pair of front plates of insulating material of low gas development, placed on opposite sides of one of said slides, between said slides and said insulating side walls, said plates being of a second insulating material, having a much greater resistivity of surface, under humid conditions, than the material of said insulating side walls, E) said second insulating material containing one or more metallic components, of low ionization potential, which will vaporize at temperatures, produced on the surface of said plates, by arcs on one of said slides, transporting high currents, within the switch regime of current of said circuit breaker, assuming that said plate surface was bare, F) and means for shielding the surfaces of said plates, adjacent one of said slides of said arcs, comprising a thermally sprayed coating of ceramic refractory insulating material on said plate surfaces.
