An electric forced air heating apparatus comprising a housing or box having heating means located therein with a fan for passing air through said housing and adjacent said heating means, characterized in that the housing is an elongated member horizontal and the fan is a centrifugal fan with a volute having an elongate conduit attached thereto, said heating means consisting of an elongate heating element located longitudinally in said conduit, said conduit further having elongated air outlet means associated therewith.
