Abstract

A massaging device for attachment to an apparatus having a housing and a motor in said housing, e.g. a dry shaving apparatus, comprises a massaging brush, a casing, means in said casing for generating vibrations, and means for attaching the casing to said housing of the apparatus, wherein the casing is connected to the attaching means through a flexible connecting sleeve and wherein coupling means are provided which will permit limited rotational movement of the casing relative to the attaching means in either direction but which will thereafter provide a rigid coupling between the casing and attaching means in either direction. As shown the device comprises casing 1 provided with socket 5 for insertion of a massaging brush. Into casing 1 is screwthreaded a hollow plug 16. The plug 16 is connected to ring 2 through flexible sleeve 10, the ring 2 being able to be screw-threaded on to the housing of the apparatus. A spindle 7 with mass 9 is rotatably mounted in plug 16 and is connected to the motor of the apparatus to generate vibrations. The device includes annular member 21 with lug 20 projecting into recess 19 in plug 16, which arrangement allows the casing 1 to have limited rotational movement relative to the ring 2 and which will then produce a rigid coupling.
