Abstract

A device for the automatic adjustment of the grain size of the ground product in an espresso coffee-making machine with an incorporated grinding unit, whose grinding rings can be adjusted in their mutual spacing by a worm drive, the latter consisting of a wheel which is placed on the screw of said drive, is provided with a toothed rim on its circumference and on which two pusher rods act at the end of each pouring operation of the espresso coffee-making machine, said pusher rods being individually adjustable from a position defined as operating position into a position defined as position of rest, specifically by a motor acting as a clock generator whose rotational speed is dimensioned in accordance with the optimum pouring time for the preparation of espresso coffee.
