Abstract

The component box has, on the one hand, an essentially annular wall (15), called a sheath, for bounding a chamber (19) for holding at least one electrical or electronic component, and, on the other hand, has at least one connecting terminal (16) which forms a part which is independent of the sheath (15), for connection of the component to an electrical conductor. According to the invention, the connecting terminal or terminals is or are arranged completely outside the sheath (15) and outside the chamber (19) which is bounded by it. The component boxes according to the invention can be used especially for the fitment of electrical switch cabinets.
