La invención se refiere a un componente para composiciones de revestimiento, en particular a un componente aislante térmico eimpermeabilizante para composiciones de revestimiento acrílico, que incluye partículas esféricas huecas de vidrio, dióxido de titanio (TiO
Description
Uno de los cubos se revistió con la composición de la invención en la cara opuesta a la abierta a modo de techo, un segundo cubo se revistió de igual forma en todas sus caras y un tercero sin revestir se considera como referencia. En todos los cubos se practicó un orificio de 7 mm de diámetro en una de sus caras laterales con el fin de introducir una varilla metálica que soportaba una sonda de temperatura en el punto central del cubo, lo que permitió medir la
5 temperatura en el centro interior del cubo. Una segunda sonda se adhirió a la superficie en el centro del techo interior del cubo para medir la temperatura de la superficie. Las sondas empleadas fueron termopares de tipo T (cobre/cobre-níquel) y se realizaron lecturas cada 5 minutos durante todo el tiempo de ensayo.
En un primer ensayo, se comparó la temperatura interior del cubo metálico revestido únicamente en el techo con
10 referencia al cubo metálico sin revestir mediante su exposición a la intemperie durante 24 h, temperatura ambiente inicial de 31 ºC y 50 % de humedad relativa del aire. En un segundo ensayo, se comparó la temperatura interior del cubo metálico revestido en todas sus caras con referencia al cubo sin revestir, también mediante su exposición a la intemperie, temperatura ambiente inicial 27,5 ºC y 52 % de humedad relativa del aire.

Se obtuvo una diferencia de temperatura interior mínima de 2 ºC y máxima de 6 ºC para las medidas realizadas en el interior del cubo y de entre 5 ºC y 22 ºC en la superficie interior del techo.

Se obtuvo una diferencia de temperatura interior de 2 ºC a 10 ºC en el interior de cada cubo en su punto central y de entre 2 ºC y 17 ºC en la superficie interior de cada uno de los techos de los cubos.
Se llevó a cabo un ensayo para calcular el índice de radiación solar SRI según ASTM E1980-01 “Standard Practice for Calculating Solar Reflectance Index of Horizontal and Low-Sloped Opaque Surfaces” sobre placas de muestra,
30 de 100x100 mm, revestidas con una composición de revestimiento según la invención blanca.
Para ello se obtuvieron previamente los datos de la reflexión solar (ver Ejemplo 3) y emisividad (según ASTM C1371-04a “Standard Test Method for Determination of Emittance of Materials Near Room Temperature Using Portable Emissometers”):

Para estos valores se calculó el índice SRI para distintos coeficientes de convección. Los resultados se muestran a continuación:

40 Estos valores indican que, por ejemplo, un tejado revestido con la composición de la invención es capaz de mantener fría su superficie. Los valores de SRI demuestran que están por encima del máximo de la escala, lo que implica que la superficie permanecerá mucho más fría que en caso de no estar revestida, ya que cualquier material típico de las cubiertas, láminas asfálticas, mortero, loseta, recubrimientos acrílicos blancos, etc. presentan unos
45 valores de reflectancia solar muy bajos en comparación con los aquí mostrados. Los valores de SRI comparativos varían desde 22 para láminas asfálticas y 36 para loseta roja o 56 para lámina de aluminio. Un revestimiento blanco convencional presentará una reflectancia solar de 0,8 y un valor de SRI de 100 como máximo.
La composición de revestimiento de la invención, gracias a su componente de carga, permite alcanzar valores de
50 SRI de hasta 108,4 y, al presentar un valor de reflectancia de 86,80 %, estará reflejando la mayor parte de radiación solar, por tanto, combinado con el valor de 0,82 de emitancia, transmitirá menos calor a la superficie sobre la que se aplica pero más que suficiente hacia el exterior, lo que contribuye a mantener más fría dicha superficie.
