Abstract
Una banda de preimpregnado (20) dividida a partir de una lámina de preimpregnado (10) que comprende una lámina polimérica (24) sobre una cara exterior de la lámina de preimpregnado (10), estando las fibras impregnadas al menos parcialmente con resina termoendurecible curable y comprendiendo una lámina polimérica (24) sobre una cara exterior de la banda (20), teniendo la banda (20) una sección transversal sustancialmente rectangular que define una anchura (26) y un grosor (28) de la banda (20), siendo la diferencia entre la anchura máxima y la anchura mínima a lo largo de la longitud de la banda (20) menor de 0,25 mm, preferiblemente menor de 0,20 mm y más preferiblemente menor de 0,125 mm, y en la que la banda (20) después de enrollarse y/o desenrollarse desde un carrete o bobina tiene una diferencia entre la anchura máxima y la anchura mínima a lo largo de la longitud de la banda (20) menor de 0,25 mm, preferiblemente menor de 0,20 mm y más preferiblemente menor de 0,125 mm, caracterizada por que dicha banda comprende fibras unidireccionales alineadas a lo largo de la longitud de la banda.

En la realización 7, se ha proporcionado una banda de acuerdo con la realización 1 a 6, en la que la lámina polimérica es una película.
En la realización 8, se ha proporcionado una banda de preimpregnado curable de acuerdo con las realizaciones 1 a 7, en la que el grosor de la lámina polimérica está en el intervalo de desde 10 a 150 micrones, preferiblemente de 10 a 100 micrones.
En la realización 9, se ha proporcionado una banda de preimpregnado curable de acuerdo con cualquiera de las realizaciones 1 a 8, en la que esta lámina polimérica está hecha de polietileno, tereftalato de polietileno, polipropileno, o mezclas de los mismos.
En la realización 10, se ha proporcionado una banda de preimpregnado curable de acuerdo con cualquiera de las realizaciones 1 a 9 que es enrollada sobre una bobina.
En la realización 11, se ha proporcionado un proceso para formar una pluralidad de bandas de preimpregnado de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 10 a partir de una lámina de preimpregnado, en el que la lámina de preimpregnado comprende fibras unidireccionales impregnadas al menos parcialmente con resina termoendurecible curable y que comprende una lámina polimérica flexible sobre una cara exterior de la lámina de preimpregnado, comprendiendo el proceso la operación de dividir el preimpregnado en una pluralidad de bandas, siendo las bandas sustancialmente paralelas a la dirección de alineación de las fibras.
En la realización 12, se ha proporcionado un proceso de acuerdo con la realización 11 que es un proceso continuo.
En la realización 13, se ha proporcionado un proceso de acuerdo con la realización 11 o 12, en el que se posicionan una
o más cuchillas giratorias cuando la lámina de preimpregnado es llevada a contacto con la cuchilla o cuchillas.
En la realización 14, se ha proporcionado un proceso de acuerdo con cualquiera de las realizaciones 11 a 13, en el que todas cuchillas están separadas uniformemente.
En la realización 15, se ha proporcionado un proceso de acuerdo con cualquiera de las realizaciones 11 a 14, en el que la lámina polimérica ha sido aplicada bajo una fuerza de compresión antes de alcanzar la etapa de división, de al menos 0,1 MPa, más preferiblemente al menos 0,2 MPa, lo más preferiblemente al menos 0,4 MPa.
En la realización 16, se ha proporcionado un proceso para depositar una pluralidad de bandas de acuerdo con cualquiera de las realizaciones 1 a 10 o que se puede obtener por un proceso de acuerdo con cualquiera de las realizaciones 11 a 15, por medio de un aparato de colocación de banda automatizado, estando dispuesto el aparato para depositar las bandas paralelas entre sí y con un espacio entre las bandas menor de 1,00 mm.
En la realización 17, se ha proporcionado un proceso de acuerdo con la realización 16, en el que el espacio es menor de 0,80 mm, preferiblemente menor de 0,60 mm, más preferiblemente menor de 0,40 mm.
En la realización 18, se ha proporcionado un proceso de acuerdo con las realizaciones 16 o 17, en el que las bandas son depositadas para construir un componente de cuerpo de vehículo aeroespacial.
