Abstract

Un producto alimenticio envasado puede incorporar un cartón posterior angulado para mejorar la estabilidad al proporcionar un contorno aumentado cuando el envase está en posición de pie, esto es orientado verticalmente. Descripción detallada de la invención
En una primera realziación, ilustrada en las Figuras 1-7, se proporciona un producto alimenticio envasado 40 que comprende una bandeja rígida termoformada 42 que comprende una o más cavidades o compartimentos, específicamente un compartimento superior 44, un compartimento
10 intermedio 46, y un compartimento inferior 48; y una tapa 50 sellada a la bandeja. Los productos alimenticios 52, 54 y 56 (mostrados en la Figura 4) están colocados dentro las cavidades.
Cada cavidad tiene una o más paredes laterales y una pared trasera. Un cartón posterior 58 se extiende a lo largo y más allá de las paredes traseras coplanares 60 y 62 de los compartimentos intermedio e inferior. El cartón posterior 58 está orientado de manera que el producto alimenticio

Los pasos (a) a (f) se pueden llevar a cabo en línea en una sola operación comercial de alta velocidad eficiente. Alternativamente, uno o más pasos, tal como formar las bandejas, se puede llevar a cabo fuera de línea.
