Abstract

Procedimiento de preparación de derivados 21-acetoxilados de 20-cetoesteroides, caracterizado porque se hace reaccionar yodo sobre un 20-cetoesteroide que no presente doble enlace en 9,11, en presencia de cloruro cálcico y de cal en metanol, y, en el caso en que no sea insoluble en el medio reaccional, se insolubiliza el derivado diyodado desde su formación por adición a dicho medio de un tercer disolvente susceptible de producir un solvato insoluble de este derivado diyodado solubilizando la cal en agua acidulada por un ácido que producca sales de calcio hidrosolubles y se hace reaccionar sobre este derivado diyodado, después de la separación un acetato-alcalino en presencia de un disolvente neutro y de ácido acético.
