Method for the production of metal atomic clusters using porphyrins and their immobilization on the surface of nanoparticles of metal oxides and in core @ cortex systems. The aqcs of metals such as ag, au or pd are obtained by the reduction of the salt or metal ion in the presence of porphyrin, which makes it possible to obtain stable metal atomic clusters in water that can be modified and functionalized. In addition, the immobilization increases the mechanical and thermal resistance to which the aqcs can be subjected.
