Abstract

Tear-opening light metal cap, of the type comprising a circular upper wall surrounded by a cylindrical skirt terminating at a free lower edge, a rounded connecting portion that connects the upper wall and the skirt, and an apprehension ear on the skirt and extending from its free edge, characterized by comprising a closing gasket (22) adhered to an inner portion thereof, a tear zone starting at said free edge -5- of the skirt, next to said apprehension ear (11), whose tear zone extends upwards through said skirt (4) and is curved according to an arched section (20) located radially to the exterior with respect to said closing joint (22), said tear zone extending from said apprehension ear (11) backward until at least partially surrounding said upper wall (2) of the cap, whereby the tearing at the charge of said tear zone dis placed independently of said gasket (22) causes that most of said upper wall (2) separates from said skirt (4) upon opening.
