La referida estructura conforma un perímetro de sección rectangular, extensible por uno de sus lados, estando esta constituida por elementos de forma tubular o prismáticos de sección cuadrada, unidos entre sí, formando el perímetro rectangular del dispositivo, mediante dos testeros y dos largueros, unidos en sendas esquinas a unas piezas prismáticas de refuerzo, de contacto con las paredes del hueco a cubrir, estando los referidos largueros constituidos de dos tramos susceptibles de encajar telescópicamente entre sí, formando un larguero extensible y de longitud variable, siendo provista dicha estructura de un gato o prensa de empuje de dichos testeros hacia el exterior del perímetro antes definido, constituido por sendos travesaños interiores, solidarios, en un punto intermedio, a cada tramo de los referidos largueros extensibles, accionados entre sí mediante un tornillo sin fin accionado por una tuerca, de empuje y separación de dichos largueros y de ensanchamiento de la referida estructura de dimensiones de perímetro extensible. Según el ejemplo de ejecución representado, el dispositivo de protección contra caídas en huecos en obras de construcción que se ilustra en esta forma preferente de realización está constituido fundamentalmente por una estructura de forma envolvente rectangular, susceptible de ser ajustada a las dimensiones del hueco a cubrir y provista de medios de anclaje a presión en dicho hueco. La referida estructura conforma un perímetro de sección rectangular, extensible por uno de sus lados, estando esta constituida por elementos de forma tubular o prismáticos de sección cuadrada, unidos entre sí, formando el perímetro rectangular del dispositivo, mediante dos testeros (2) y dos largueros (3), unidos en sendas esquinas a unas piezas prismáticas (1) de refuerzo, de contacto con las paredes del hueco a cubrir, estando los referidos largueros (3) constituidos de dos tramos susceptibles de encajar telescópicamente entre sí, formando un larguero extensible y de longitud variable, siendo provista dicha estructura de un gato o prensa de empuje de dichos testeros hacia el exterior del perímetro antes definido, constituido por sendos travesaños (4,5) interiores, solidarios, en un punto intermedio, a cada tramo de los referidos largueros (3) extensibles, accionados entre sí mediante un tornillo sin fin (6) accionado por una tuerca (7), de empuje y separación de dichos largueros y de ensanchamiento de la referida estructura de dimensiones de perímetro extensible.
