Para la obtención de muestras de sedimentos húmedos o saturados en agua se propone proceder a su extracción por succión mediante sendos tubos de diferente calibre (7 y 8), introducido uno dentro del otro, de modo que el exterior o cilindro (8) penetre en el subsuelo y el interior (7) constituya un émbolo (8 a 14). Para ello se propone acoplar al extremo del tubo exterior o cilindro un dispositivo que denominaremos cabezal (figura 2) con un elemento principal constituido por un tubo resistente de diámetro exterior constante (1), con mecanizado interior para aumentar su diámetro, con una parte ajustable mediante ranuras longitudinales apretable mediante una abrazadera, lo que permite la introducción de tubos o cilindros del calibre máximo interior (7) hasta el tope o resalte del mecanizado interior. El conjunto permite la succión de sedimentos húmedos o saturados en agua, al crear vacío dentro del cilindro, y su encapsulado en el cilindro (7). La estanqueidad se asegura mediante discos elásticos (12) sujetos al extremo del émbolo (11). Para ejercer la fuerza manual necesaria para penetrar el subsuelo el cabezal dispone de sendos mangos (4) que pueden ser recubiertos para facilitar el agarre (5). La fuerza ascendente del émbolo es igualmente manual y simultánea a la exterior penetrante. La parte ajustable del tubo del cabezal tiene por objeto permitir fijar dicho cabezal al cilindro por medio de la presión ejercida al apretar una abrazadera exterior (6). Una vez obtenida la profundidad de muestreo requerida o el máximo de penetración posible, la fijación del tubo interior mediante un tornillo (3) permite la extracción sin pérdidas de la muestra. Una vez en el exterior, se sella el extremo inferior del cilindro, se suelta el cabezal y se extrae el tubo interior o émbolo, procediendo a sellar la parte superior del cilindro.
