Abstract

Procedimiento de transesterificación de triglicéridos con monoalcoholes de bajo peso molecular para obtención de ésteres de alcoholes ligeros utilizando catalizadores mixtos. La transesterificación de triglicéridos obtenidos de aceites de origen vegetal o animal o de aceites de fritura usados para obtener ésteres de ácidos grasos de alcoholes de bajo peso molecular, se ha realizado con un sistema catalítico mixto, formado por sales de ácidos carboxílicos e hidróxidos de metales alcalinos. Este sistema catalítico permite reducir las etapas de acondicionamiento y disminuir el tiempo de operación del proceso. El proceso se realiza en condiciones moderadas de presión y temperatura, en un reactor tipo tanque agitado, en régimen continuo o discontinuo. Los ésteres obtenidos pueden ser utilizados como carburantes, combustibles y disolventes, entre otros usos.
