Abstract

Promotor y secuencias reguladoras de END1, un gen de guisante que se expresa específicamente en anteras. Con la presente invención caracterizamos el promotor del gen END1 de guisante que es capaz de dirigir la expresión específica de antera en estadios tempranos de su desarrollo. Por otro lado, se indica su uso para producir plantas transgénicas que expresen un gen específico en antera, por ejemplo, un gen que provoque la ablación de la antera y por tanto diera lugar a una planta androestéril. Estas plantas androestériles son de gran utilidad en programas de mejora genética para la obtención de semillas híbridas.
