Abstract

A multiple-type air conditioner with heating/cooling modes that includes a compressor, an exterior heat exchanger, a pair of interior heat exchangers, a four-way valve, an auxiliary deposit, a heat sensor and a pair of electronic expansion valves. The auxiliary deposit stores residual heat exchange medium discharged from the compressor when one of the interior heat exchangers is functioning in cooling mode, so as not to feed too much heat exchange medium to the interior heat exchanger, thus avoiding possible overloading of the interior heat exchanger. There is a pair of electronic expansion valves to adjust the circulation speed of the heat exchange medium that circulates through each interior heat exchanger. The opening of the electronic expansion valves is adjusted according to the exterior air temperature detected by a sensor.
