Abstract

Desarrollo de una piel artificial mediante cultivo de queratinocitos sobre una base de fibrina y fibroblastos humanos y método de preparación de esta piel para trasplante. Piel artificial obtenida mediante cultivo celular de queratinocitos sobre una base constituida por un gel de fibrina humana poblado de fibroblastos humanos. Esta base permite un desarrollo muy rápido de los queratinocitos, detectándose en esta piel artificial proteínas de la unión dermoepidérmica que facilitan el posterior éxito de trasplante. Esta piel artificial precisa, para ser utilizada en la clínica, una preparación previa que consiste en la fijación a un soporte sólido y un sistema que posibilite el transporte hasta el lugar de trasplante sin rotura de la misma. La piel artificial aquí descrita puede servir para el tratamiento de grandes quemados, úlceras cutáneas crónicas o utilizarse, mediante el empleo de células genéticamente modificadas, como base para terapia génica.
