Abstract

Process for the production of a granular mineral product and applications. The process comprises: (a) grinding the crude mineral, selected from bentonite, diatomaceous earths or an aluminium magnesium silicate, (b) mixing the ground mineral with a cement in a proportion of 5 to 35% by weight, (c) subjecting the mixture to a water bath and then placing it in a rotary furnace to dry it and granulate it. The product obtained has application in the manufacture of concrete and as a granular support for insecticides.
