Abstract
The joint comprises a ring (8) which holds support inserts (7) and is supported against axial displacement on the axially open side of a bell-shaped hollow cavity (5) with keyed engagement axially outwards by stop member formed integral with the outer part (1) of the joint and acting evenly on the circumference of the ring. The radially inwardly aligned extension of the stop member is set outside the path of movement of the torque-transferring balls (4) during bending of the joint. The ring (8) is secured against turning on the outer part (1) of the joint, with play (11) being provided between the ring and an axial bearing for the ring on the outside part. The ring can have on its outer circumference an index recess to take the radially outwardly projecting edge of the outer part of the joint.
