Abstract
A steam pressure cooking vessel having a catch, in particular a bayonet catch, between a vessel body and a lid, which catch is to be opened by relative rotation, is described. The steam pressure cooking vessel has a lid-securing device to prevent relative rotation between lid and vessel body when the cooking vessel is under a predetermined internal pressure. The lid-securing device has a locking part which is movable by the pressure in the cooking vessel and which is situated, at the predetermined internal pressure against a stop face preventing rotation of the lid relative to the vessel body to open the cooking vessel. In order to equip a steam pressure cooking vessel of this type with a lid-securing device which is constructionally simple and easy to clean, it is proposed to arrange the locking part externally on the cooking vessel in such a way that it extends from outside underneath the catch, and to cause it to cooperate with a stop face arranged in the region of the catch.
