Abstract

If the actuating shaft 2 includes a flange 3 which fits on the cylindrical lateral neck 4, all that has to be done is to locate the cores 8, 9 for closing off the fluid-inlet and -outlet conduits which, in all cases, would come into contact with the openings of the diametral orifice 6 for passage of the fluid via the sphere 5 or closure cylinder. The sealing material is injected via an orifice made preferably in the wall of the body of the valve 1, and after a prudent period of time for setting has elapsed, the cores are removed, the closure material thereby being perfectly fitted and extending to all the zones where independent seals are usually mounted, improving its functionality and service life.
