SE MIDE LA SEPARACION EN EL TIEMPO DE LOS IMPULSOS DE MEDIDA DE UN SENSOR DE NUMERO DE REVOLUCIONES FORMANDO CON ELLA EL VALOR DE MEDIDA. LA MEDICION SE PROLONGA HASTA QUE SE PRODUZCA UNA SOLICITUD DE VALOR DE MEDIDA, SE REGISTRE UNA CANTIDAD MAXIMA DE IMPULSOS DE MEDIDA O SE REBASE UN TIEMPO DE MEDIDA MAXIMO. SI NO SE REGISTRA NINGUN IMPULSO DE MEDIDA O SOLO, UNO SE DISTINGUE, EN LA FORMACION DEL VALOR DE MEDIDA, SI SE REBASO POR ARRIBA O POR ABAJO UNA VELOCIDAD O UN NUMERO DE REVOLUCIONES MINIMOS. CON CADA INICIACION DE LA MEDIDA Y CON CADA PRIMER IMPULSO DE MEDIDA REGISTRADO SE MEMORIZA EL ESTADO INICIAL DE UN CONTADOR Y CON CADA IMPULSO DE MEDIDA ADICIONAL REGISTRADO SE MEMORIZA UN ESTADO FINAL DE CONTADOR HASTA QUE SE PRODUZCA UNA SOLICITUD DE VALOR DE MEDIDA O SE REBASE EL TIEMPO MAXIMO DE MEDIDA. EL INTERVALO DE TIEMPO ENTRE LOS ESTADOS INICIAL Y FINAL DEL CONTADOR SE UTILIZA PARA EL CALCULO DEL VALOR DE MEDIDA.
