Abstract
Process for obtaining new triazole derivatives having antifungal activity of formula I in which X represents N or CH, R1 and R2 represent hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, Ar represents a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted with one or more halogen or trifluoromethyl groups, in which the corresponding 2-(aryl)-2-(1H- azolylmethyl)oxyrane is caused to react with a mercapto pyridine-N-oxide or an alkaline salt of the same in a polar solvent such as dimethyl formamide at a temperature of between 25 degree C and 100 degree C for a period of between half an hour and 1 day. These products are useful for the treatment of fungal infections in humans, animals and/or plants.
