Abstract
The frame/cell base assembly for honeycombs has a compound cell base made from a wax matrix and glass fibre reinforcement whilst the frame (1) is constructed to hold and support the cell base. The matrix can be made from commercially available beeswax and the glass fibre sheathing from a woven mat whose intersecting glass fibers have no preferential orientation and a weight of about 30 g per sq. metre. The cell base can be provided with honeycomb shaped indentations. USE/ADVANTAGE - The resulting assembly is highly stable, does not break so easily and is economical to mfr.
