Abstract
A bearing (1) for supporting a rotating member, for example a wheel (2) of a vehicle, and simultaneously allow detection of the angular velocity of the said rotating member by means of an electromagnetic sensor (21), for example forming part of an anti-lock system of ABS type characterized by the presence on one (3) of the bearing rings which can be fixed for rotation with the rotating member, of an annular groove (12) which is filled with a paste (13) containing ferromagnetic material. The paste is subsequently shaped into the form of a toothed ring (14) and caused to solidify so as to cause the presence within the interior of the groove (12) of a solid ferromagnetic substance defining in succession a plurality of peaks and troughs.
