Abstract
A display packaging 100 for a product 2 is disclosed. The display packaging comprising:
-an inner container 4 for containing said product 2, said inner container is having an extension in a first direction X, thereby defining a first end 6 and an opposite second end 8 of said inner container; and is having an extension in a second direction Y, said second direction Y being perpendicular to said first direction X; and
-an outer sleeve 10 covering said inner container 4; said outer sleeve is having an extension in a first direction X, thereby defining a first end 12 and an opposite second end 14 of said outer sleeve, and is having an extension in a second direction Y, said second direction Y being perpendicular to said first direction X;
wherein said outer sleeve 10 comprises an opening 16 in said second end 14 thereof;
wherein the dimensions and geometry of said inner container 4 and the dimensions and geometry of said outer sleeve 10 are adapted to each other in such a way that said inner container 4 is being displaceable inside and relative to said outer sleeve 10 in said first direction X;
wherein said display packaging 100 comprises retaining means 26 for preventing full displacement of said inner container 4 out of said outer sleeve 10 through said opening 16 in said second end 14 of said outer sleeve 10;
wherein said inner container 4 comprises a first compartment 18 arranged at said first end 6 of said inner container 4, and a second compartment 20 arranged at said second end 8 of said inner container 4;
and in that said first compartment 18 of said inner container 4 comprises a protrusion 22 extending from a bottom part 24 of said first compartment 18, such as in a direction essentially perpendicular to said bottom part.

Description
- The present invention generally relates to the field of packaging for displaying in a retail store.
- More specifically the present invention relates in a first aspect to a display packaging for a product.
- In a second aspect the present invention relates to a use of a display packaging according to the first aspect of the present invention as a packaging for a product.
- In a third aspect the present invention relates to a product comprising a display packaging according to the first aspect of the present invention.
- Various products which are offered for sale in retail stores are often packed in a packaging. The packaging itself may contain information relating to the product and its use. Furthermore, the packaging may be provided with an anti-theft alarm so that in case the packaging with its content leaves the store, an alarm will be triggered.
- Many customers wish to have a tactile feel on the product before they decide on a purchase. This wish to have tactile feel on the product before purchase often make a customer open the packaging in order to be able to have a closer look and feel on the product.
- However, store owners have found that a packaging that has been opened is not desirable for other customers. This is because very often the opening of the packaging will make the packaging look used or worn or even partially destroyed.
- Therefore, a product being packed in a packaging which has already been opened by a customer may represent a loss in revenue for the store owner.
- In order to solve this problem, packaging have been provided which to a larger extent allows a customer to open the packaging without leaving any traces on the packaging that the packaging as been previously opened.
- Such packaging allow customers to open the packaging in order to have a closer look at the product being offered for sale therein and in order to have a tactile feel of the product.
- However, such packaging on the other hand makes it easy for a customer to remove the product being offered for sale from the packaging in order to steal that product.
- One such type of packaging is disclosed in
US 10,696,443 B1 US 10,696,443 B1 - Accordingly, a need persists for a display packaging which on the one hand allows a customer to have a tactile feel on the product being offered for sale therein and which on the other hand makes it difficult for a customer to steal the product contained in that packaging.
- It is an objective of the present invention to provide such technology.
- This objective is fulfilled according to the present invention in its various aspects.
- Accordingly, the present invention relates in a first aspect to a display packaging for a product, wherein said display packaging comprising:
- an inner container for containing said product, said inner container is having an extension in a first direction X, thereby defining a first end and an opposite second end of said inner container; and is having an extension in a second direction Y, said second direction Y being perpendicular to said first direction X; and
- an outer sleeve covering said inner container; said outer sleeve is having an extension in a first direction X, thereby defining a first end and an opposite second end of said outer sleeve, and is having an extension in a second direction Y, said second direction Y being perpendicular to said first direction X;
- wherein said outer sleeve comprises an opening in said second end thereof;
- wherein the dimensions and geometry of said inner container and the dimensions and geometry of said outer sleeve are adapted to each other in such a way that said inner container is being displaceable inside and relative to said outer sleeve in said first direction X;
- wherein said display packaging comprises retaining means for preventing full displacement of said inner container out of said outer sleeve;
- characterized in that said inner container comprises a first compartment arranged at said first end of said inner container, and a second compartment arranged at said second end of said inner container;
- and in that said first compartment of said inner container comprises a protrusion extending from a bottom part of said first compartment, such as in a direction essentially perpendicular to said bottom part.
- In a second aspect the present invention relates to a use of a display packaging according to the first aspect of the present invention as a packaging for a product.
- In a third aspect the present invention relates to an object comprising a product and a display packaging according to the first aspect of the present invention, wherein said product is being packed in said display packaging.
- The present invention in its various aspects provides for an improved display of a packaged product to be displayed in a retail store which allows a customer to have a tactile feel of the product and which at the same time makes it difficult to remove the product being offered for sale from that packaging.

Fig. 7b is a drawing plan view showing the product in the form of an inner packaging comprising an item to be offered for sale and which is being fastened to that inner packaging and wherein the inner packaging is comprising a through-going hole which can be arranged around the protrusion of the first compartment of the inner container. -
Fig 8 is a drawing showing in a perspective view a product in the form of an item which is being offered for sale and which is being fastened to an inner packaging. - The present invention relates in a first aspect to a
display packaging 100 for aproduct 2, wherein said display packaging comprising: - an
inner container 4 for containing saidproduct 2, said inner container is having an extension in a first direction X, thereby defining afirst end 6 and an oppositesecond end 8 of said inner container; and is having an extension in a second direction Y, said second direction Y being perpendicular to said first direction X; and - an
outer sleeve 10 covering saidinner container 4; said outer sleeve is having an extension in a first direction X, thereby defining afirst end 12 and an oppositesecond end 14 of said outer sleeve, and is having an extension in a second direction Y, said second direction Y being perpendicular to said first direction X; - wherein said
outer sleeve 10 comprises an opening 16 in saidsecond end 14 thereof; - wherein the dimensions and geometry of said
inner container 4 and the dimensions and geometry of saidouter sleeve 10 are adapted to each other in such a way that saidinner container 4 is being displaceable inside and relative to saidouter sleeve 10 in said first direction X; - wherein said
display packaging 100 comprises retaining means 26 for preventing full displacement of saidinner container 4 out of saidouter sleeve 10 through said opening 16 in saidsecond end 14 of saidouter sleeve 10; - characterized in that said
inner container 4 comprises afirst compartment 18 arranged at saidfirst end 6 of saidinner container 4, and asecond compartment 20 arranged at saidsecond end 8 of saidinner container 4; - and in that said
first compartment 18 of saidinner container 4 comprises aprotrusion 22 extending from abottom part 24 of saidfirst compartment 18, such as in a direction essentially perpendicular to said bottom part. - The slidable nature of the
inner container 4, relative to theouter sleeve 10 allows a customer to get a tactile feel of theproduct 2 or item which is being offered for sale in thedisplay packaging 100. - The
protrusion 22 of thefirst compartment 18 of the inner container makes it possible to "attach" the product or item being offered for sale to theinner container 4 and the retaining means 26 prevents full displacement of theinner container 4 out of the outer sleeve. Hereby is provided means to allow a customer to get a tactile feel of theproduct 2 or item which is being offered for sale in thedisplay packaging 100 which at the same time makes it difficult to remove the product from thedisplay packaging 100 with the view to steal theproduct 2 alone and excluding thedisplay packaging 100. - Although the
inner container 4 and theouter sleeve 10 are defined as having extensions in two perpendicular directions X and Y, it is to be understood that theinner container 4 and theouter sleeve 10 are also having an extension in a direction (Z) which is perpendicular to the X direction and to the Y direction. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention the retaining means 26 comprises a first retaining element 30 and a second retaining element 32; wherein the
outer sleeve 10 comprises said first retaining element 30, and wherein saidinner container 4 comprises said second retaining element 32. - In one embodiment the first retaining element 30 and the second retaining element 32 are being configured in such a way that upon sliding said
inner container 4 out of saidopening 16 of saidsecond end 14 of saidouter sleeve 10, the second retaining element 32 will collide with the first retaining element 30 thereby preventing a displacement of saidinner container 4 out of saidouter sleeve 10 to an extent which is sufficient for accessing saidfirst compartment 18 of saidinner container 4. - Hereby is in an easy way made provisions for preventing full displacement of the
inner container 4 out of theouter sleeve 10. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the first retaining element 30 comprises a flap portion 34 arranged at the interior 36 of the
outer sleeve 10; and the second retaining element 32 is being in the form of a bridge 38 extending in the Y direction at amiddle portion 40 of theinner container 4, relative to said direction X, and optionally arranged at an upper portion of saidinner container 4. - Such arrangement have proven efficient in preventing full displacement of the
inner container 4 out of theouter sleeve 10. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
inner container 4 comprises a number of connectingside walls 42 attached to and extending from saidbottom part 24. - In an embodiment the number of connecting
side walls 42 defines anopening 44 arranged opposite to thebottom part 24, thereby defining an access to the interior of saidinner container 4. - The side walls improve the structural integrity of the
inner container 4. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
protrusion 22 of thefirst compartment 18 is having an extension perpendicular to thebottom part 24 corresponding to the extension, in the same direction, of one or more of said number of connectingside walls 42. - Having an extension in a direction perpendicular to the
bottom part 24 corresponding to the extension, in the same direction, of the connectingside walls 42 makes it very difficult to release the product being contained in thedisplay packaging 100 from thatprotrusion 22. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
second end 14 of theouter sleeve 10 comprises a blocking element 46 for preventing sliding saidinner container 4 out of thefirst end 12 of saidouter sleeve 10. - In an embodiment the blocking element 46 comprising a full or partial end closure 48 arranged at the
first end 12 of theouter sleeve 10. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the display packaging comprises a
sombrero hole 50 for allowing hanging said display packaging on a display hook in a retail store. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
sombrero hole 50 is being arranged at anend flap 52 of saidfirst end 6 of saidinner container 4, and wherein saidfirst end 12 of saidouter sleeve 10 comprises anopening 54 allowing accommodation of saidend flap 52. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
protrusion 22 is having an extension in a direction parallel to a plane defined by thebottom part 24 of saidinner container 4 of 2 - 200 mm or more, such as 5 - 180 mm, for example 10 - 160 mm, such as 15 - 150 mm, e.g. 20 - 140 mm, such as 25 - 120 mm, e.g. 30 - 100 mm, such as 40 - 90 mm, such as 50 - 80 mm or 60 - 70 mm. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
protrusion 22 is having an extension in a direction perpendicular to a plane defined by thebottom part 24 of saidinner container 4 of 5 - 110 mm or more, for example 10 - 100 mm, such as 15 - 90 mm, e.g. 20 - 80 mm, such as 25 - 70 mm, for example 30 - 60 mm or 40 - 50 mm. - Such dimensions will fit most sizes of a display packaging.
- In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the display packaging is for a
product 2 which comprises a through-goinghole 28, or which can be arranged in a form, wherein said product forms a through-goinghole 28. - Such products may be in the form of an oblong, flexible product, such as a cable or a necklace or the like.
- In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the dimension and geometry of the though-going
hole 28 is adapted to the geometry and dimension of theprotrusion 22 of saidfirst compartment 18 of saidinner container 4 in such a way that saidprotrusion 22 can be arranged in said through-goinghole 28 of saidproduct 2. - Hereby the product can be "locked" to the
inner container 4 of thedisplay packaging 100. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
product 2 per se is being anitem 60 being offered for sale, such as a consumer product. - In case the
item 60 which is being offered for sale in itself comprises or can form a through-goinghole 28 there will be no need for aninner packaging 80 in order to lock thatitem 60 to theinner container 4. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
product 2 is being aninner packaging 80 comprising anitem 60 being offered for sale, such as aconsumer product 2. - Including an
inner packaging 80 with theitem 60 which is being offered for sale, which collectively forms theproduct 2, allows the through-goinghole 28 of the product to be arranged at theinner packaging 80 in case theitem 60 which is being offered for sale in itself does not comprises or cannot form a through-going hole. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
item 60 being offered for sale is being fastened to theinner packaging 80 by means of an inner packaging fastening means 82, such as a seal or a wrap, or one or more screws or the like. - In an embodiment of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention, the
outer sleeve 10 and/or saidinner container 4 independently is/are being made from a cellulosic material, such as paper or cardboard; or is being made from a plastic material, such as a thermoplastic material, such as thermoplastic polyurethane, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, styrene acrylonitrile, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polyoxymethylene, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyvinyl chloride, polybutylene terephthalate, or post-industrial/post-consumer recycled plastic (PIR/PCR). - In a second aspect the present invention relates to a use of a
display packaging 100 according to the first aspect of the present invention as a packaging for aproduct 2. - In an embodiment of the use of the second aspect of the present invention the use is for displaying for sale said
product 2 in a retail store. - In an embodiment of the use of the second aspect of the present invention the
product 2 being a longitudinal, flexible product, such as a product which is selected from the group comprising: a cable, such as a cable for use with a computing device, such as a charging cable, such as a USB cable; a piece of jewelry, such as a necklace. - In a third aspect the present invention relates to an object comprising a
product 2 and adisplay packaging 100 according to the first aspect of the present invention, wherein saidproduct 2 is being packed in said display packaging. Accordingly, the object according to the third aspect of the present invention is a product itself. - In an embodiment of the object of the third aspect of the present invention the product comprises a through-going
hole 28, or alternatively, theproduct 2 can be arranged in a form, wherein the product forms a through-goinghole 28; in such a way that theprotrusion 22 is being arranged in said through-goinghole 28 of saidproduct 2. - Referring now to the figures in order to better illustrating the present invention,
Fig. 1 is a drawing showing in a perspective view the display packaging according to a first aspect of the present invention. -
Fig. 1 shows thedisplay packaging 100 in its closed configuration. The display packaging comprises an inner container 4 (not seen inFig. 1 ) and anouter sleeve 10. InFig. 1 theinner container 4 is fully covered by theouter sleeve 10 and thereby, thedisplay packaging 100 ofFig. 1 is being in its closed configuration. -
Fig. 2 is a drawing showing in a perspective view the display packaging ofFig. 1 in its open configuration. -
Fig. 2 shows thedisplay packaging 100 comprising itsinner container 4 being partially slit out of the interior of theouter sleeve 10. - The
inner container 4 holds aproduct 2 in the form of anitem 60 being offered for sale. Theitem 60 is an USB cable. - It is seen in
Fig. 2 that theinner container 4 as well as theouter sleeve 10 are having an extension in a first direction X, and is having an extension in a second direction Y, wherein the second direction Y is being perpendicular to the first direction X. - By adapting the dimensions and geometry of the
inner container 4 and the dimensions and geometry of saidouter sleeve 10 to each other, theinner container 4 is being displaceable inside and relative to theouter sleeve 10 in the first direction X. - As explained below, the
display packaging 100 comprises retaining means for preventing full displacement of theinner container 4 out of theouter sleeve 10 through an opening in the second end of theouter sleeve 10. -
Fig. 3 is a drawing showing in a perspective view an inner container of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention. -
Fig 3 shows theinner container 4 having afirst end 6 and an oppositesecond end 8. Theinner container 4 comprises afirst compartment 18 arranged near thefirst end 6 of theinner container 4, and asecond compartment 20 arranged near thesecond end 8 of theinner container 4. - It is seen that the
first compartment 18 of theinner container 4 comprises aprotrusion 22 which extends essentially perpendicular from abottom part 24 of thefirst compartment 18. A number of connectingside walls 42 are attached to and they extend from thebottom part 24. - Also seen in
Fig. 3 is that the inner container comprises part of the retention means 26 which participate in preventing full displacement out of the interior of theouter sleeve 10. - The part of the retention means 26 comprised in the inner container seen in
Fig. 3 is in the form of a second retention means 32 which comprises a bridge 38. The bridge 38 extends in the Y direction. The bridge 38 is arranged at amiddle portion 40 of theinner container 4, relative to the direction X and is arranged at an upper portion of theinner container 4. - At the
first end 6 theinner container 4 comprises anend flap 52 and theend flap 52 comprises asombrero hole 50 for allowing hanging the display packaging on a display hook in a retail store. -
Fig. 4 is a drawing showing in a top plane view the inner container ofFig. 3 accommodating a product in the form of an USB cable to be displayed for sale. - It is seen in
Fig. 4 that theproduct 2 in the form of the item to be offered forsale 60, i.e. the USB cable has been arranged in a form where the cable forms a through goinghole 28 of the product 2 (the USB cable). TheUSB cable first compartment 18 of theinner container 4 in such a way that theprotrusion 22 of the inner container takes up part of the space of that through-goinghole 28. Hereby theprotrusion 22 prevents that the USB cable can be pulled out of inner container at the second end thereof when theinner container 4 is being arranged in the associatedouter sleeve 10. -
Fig. 5 is a drawing showing in a perspective view the outer sleeve of the display packaging of the first aspect of the present invention as seen from its second end. -
Fig. 5 shows thesecond end 14 of theouter sleeve 10. Thesecond end 14 comprises anopening 16 for theinner container 4. Thesecond end 14 of the outer sleeve comprises part of the retaining means 26. The part of the retaining means 26 comprised at thesecond end 14 of the outer sleeve comprises the first retaining element 30 which comprises a flap portion 34 arranged at the interior 36 and at thesecond end 14 of theouter sleeve 10. - Now focusing on the bridge 38 of the inner container as seen in
Fig. 3 and4 and on the flap portion 34 as seen inFig. 5 it is easily comprehendible that once theinner container 4 is displaced out of theouter sleeve 10 through theopening 16 in thesecond end 14 thereof the second retaining element 32 in the form of the bridge 38 will collide with the first retaining element 30 in the form of the flap portion 34 and thereby prevent a full displacement of theinner container 4 out of theouter sleeve 10 to an extent which is sufficient for accessing thefirst compartment 18 of saidinner container 4 which is arranged at thefirst end 6 of theinner container 4. -
Fig. 6 is a drawing showing in a perspective view the outer sleeve ofFig. 5 as seen from its first end. -
Fig. 6 shows that thefirst end 12 of theouter sleeve 10 comprises anopening 54 and blocking elements 46 in the form of a partial end closure 48 of thatsecond end 12. - The
opening 54 allows theend flap 52 with thesombrero hole 50 of thefirst end 6 of the inner container to extend through that hole and the and blocking elements 46 of thefirst end 12 of the outer sleeve prevents displacement of theinner container 4 out of thatopening 54. - Above the present invention has been described with reference to display package of the first aspect of the invention which is intended for being used for displaying a product in a retail store.
- In the present description and in the appended claims it must be understood that the term "product" may refer to an
item 60 per se which is being offered for sale, such as in the form of a consumer product. - Alternatively, in the present description and in the appended claims the term "product" may alternatively be construed to mean an
inner packaging 80 which comprises anitem 60 being offered for sale, such as in the form of a consumer product. - These two alternatives are illustrated in
Fig. 7a and 7b , respectively. -
Fig. 7 a is a schematic plan view showing theproduct 2 in the form of anitem 60 to be offered for sale. It is seen that theitem 60 being offered for sale in itself forms a through-goinghole 28 which can be arranged around theprotrusion 22 of thefirst compartment 18 of theinner container 4. -
Fig. 7b is a schematic plan view showing theproduct 2 in the form of aninner packaging 80 comprising anitem 60 to be offered for sale. It is seen inFig. 7b that theitem 60 being offered for sale is being fastened to theinner packaging 80 by means of inner packaging fastening means 82, and that it isinner packaging 80 which comprises the through-goinghole 28 which can be arranged around theprotrusion 22 of thefirst compartment 18 of theinner container 4. - The situation of
Fig. 7b is exemplified inFig. 8 . -
Fig 8 is a drawing showing in a perspective view aproduct 2 in the form of anitem 60 which is intended for being offered for sale. Theitem 60 is a power plug adapter for a charging USB cable for charging a mobile device, such as a tablet of a mobile phone. - It is seen that the
item 60 is being fastened to aninner packaging 80 via an inner packaging fastening means 82. Theinner packaging 80 comprises a through-goinghole 28 which can be arranged around theprotrusion 22 of thefirst compartment 18 of theinner container 4. - It should be understood that all features and achievements discussed above and in the appended claims in relation to one aspect of the present invention and embodiments thereof apply equally well to the other aspects of the present invention and embodiments thereof.

Claims (15)
- A display packaging (100) for a product (2), wherein said display packaging comprising:- an inner container (4) for containing said product (2), said inner container is having an extension in a first direction (X), thereby defining a first end (6) and an opposite second end (8) of said inner container; and is having an extension in a second direction (Y), said second direction (Y) being perpendicular to said first direction (X); and- an outer sleeve (10) covering said inner container (4); said outer sleeve is having an extension in a first direction (X), thereby defining a first end (12) and an opposite second end (14) of said outer sleeve, and is having an extension in a second direction (Y), said second direction (Y) being perpendicular to said first direction (X);wherein said outer sleeve (10) comprises an opening (16) in said second end (14) thereof;wherein the dimensions and geometry of said inner container (4) and the dimensions and geometry of said outer sleeve (10) are adapted to each other in such a way that said inner container (4) is being displaceable inside and relative to said outer sleeve (10) in said first direction (X);wherein said display packaging (100) comprises retaining means (26) for preventing full displacement of said inner container (4) out of said outer sleeve (10) through said opening (16) in said second end (14) of said outer sleeve (10);characterized in that said inner container (4) comprises a first compartment (18) arranged at said first end (6) of said inner container (4), and a second compartment (20) arranged at said second end (8) of said inner container (4);and in that said first compartment (18) of said inner container (4) comprises a protrusion (22) extending from a bottom part (24) of said first compartment (18), such as in a direction essentially perpendicular to said bottom part.
- A display packaging (100) according to claim 1, wherein said retaining means (26) comprises a first retaining element (30) and a second retaining element (32); wherein said outer sleeve (10) comprises said first retaining element (30), and wherein said inner container (4) comprises said second retaining element (32);optionally wherein said first retaining element (30) and said second retaining element (32) are being configured in such a way that upon sliding said inner container (4) out of said opening (16) of said second end (14) of said outer sleeve (10), said second retaining element (32) will collide with said first retaining element (30) thereby preventing a displacement of said inner container (4) out of said outer sleeve (10) to an extent which is sufficient for accessing said first compartment (18) of said inner container (4); and/oroptionally wherein said first retaining element (30) comprises a flap portion (34) arranged at the interior (36) of said outer sleeve (10); and wherein said second retaining element (32) is being in the form of a bridge (38) extending in said (Y) direction at a middle portion (40) of said inner container (4), relative to said direction (X), and optionally arranged at an upper portion of said inner container (4).
- A display packaging (100) according to any of the claims 1 or 2, wherein said inner container (4) comprises a number of connecting side walls (42) attached to and extending from said bottom part (24);
optionally wherein said number of connecting side walls (42) defines an opening (44) arranged opposite to said bottom part (24), thereby defining an access to the interior of said inner container (4) and further optionally wherein said protrusion (22) of said first compartment (18) is having an extension perpendicular to said bottom part (24) corresponding to the extension, in the same direction, of one or more of said number of connecting side walls (42). - A display packaging (100) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said second end (14) of said outer sleeve (10) comprises a blocking element (46) for preventing sliding said inner container (4) out of said first end (12) of said outer sleeve (10); optionally wherein said blocking element (46) comprising a full or partial end closure (48) arranged at said first end (12) of said outer sleeve 10.
- A display packaging (100) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said display packaging comprises a sombrero hole (50) for allowing hanging said display packaging on a display hook in a retail store; optionally wherein said sombrero hole (50) is being arranged at an end flap (52) of said first end (6) of said inner container (4), and wherein said first end (12) of said outer sleeve (10) comprises an opening (54) allowing accommodation of said end flap (52).
- A display packaging (100) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said protrusion (22) is having an extension in a direction parallel to a plane defined by said bottom part (24) of said inner container (4) of 2 - 200 mm or more, such as 5 - 180 mm, for example 10 - 160 mm, such as 15 - 150 mm, e.g. 20 - 140 mm, such as 25 - 120 mm, e.g. 30 - 100 mm, such as 40 - 90 mm, such as 50 - 80 mm or 60 - 70 mm; and/or wherein said protrusion (22) is having an extension in a direction perpendicular to a plane defined by said bottom part (24) of said inner container (4) of 5 - 110 mm or more, for example 10 - 100 mm, such as 15 - 90 mm, e.g. 20 - 80 mm, such as 25 - 70 mm, for example 30 - 60 mm or 40 - 50 mm.
- A display packaging (100) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said display packaging is for a product (2) which comprises a through-going hole (28), or which can be arranged in a form, wherein said product forms a through-going hole (28); optionally wherein the dimension and geometry of said though-going hole (28) is adapted to the geometry and dimension of said protrusion (22) of said first compartment (18) of said inner container (4) in such a way that said protrusion (22) can be arranged in said through-going hole (28) of said product (2).
- A display packaging (100) according to claim 7, wherein said product (2) per se is being an item (60) being offered for sale, such as a consumer product.
- A display packaging (100) according to claim 7 wherein said product (2) is being an inner packaging (80) comprising an item (60) being offered for sale, such as a consumer product.
- A display packaging (100) according to claim 9, wherein said item (60) being offered for sale is being fastened to said inner packaging (80) by means of an inner packaging fastening means (82), such as a seal or a wrap, or one or more screws or the like.
- A display packaging (100) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said outer sleeve (10) and/or said inner container (4) independently is/are being made from a cellulosic material, such as paper or cardboard; or is being made from a plastic material, such as a thermoplastic material, such as thermoplastic polyurethane, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, styrene acrylonitrile, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polyoxymethylene, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyvinyl chloride, polybutylene terephthalate, or post-industrial/post-consumer recycled plastic (PIR/PCR).
- Use of a display packaging (100) according to any of the preceding claims as a packaging for a product (2).
- Use according to claim 12 for displaying for sale said product (2) in a retail store; and/or wherein said product (2) being a longitudinal, flexible product, such as a product which is selected from the group comprising: a cable, such as a cable for use with a computing device, such as a charging cable, such as a USB cable; a piece of jewelry, such as a necklace.
- An object comprising a product (2) and a display packaging (100) according to any of the claims 1 - 11, wherein said product (2) is being packed in said display packaging (100).
- An object according to claim 14, wherein said product comprises a through-going hole (28), or wherein said product (2) can be arranged in a form, wherein said product forms a through-going hole (28); and wherein said protrusion (22) is being arranged in said through-going hole (28) of said product (2).
