Bei dem Eingabefeld kann es sich um einen sogenannten Touch Screen oder eine Tastatur oder ein externes Eingabegerät wie eine Smarthome Steuerung oder ein Mobiltelefon handeln. Der Sensor 10 erfasst, ob der Treibstangenbeschlag 3 in die Verriegelungsstellung bewegt ist, und sendet Signale an die Steuereinheit 9. Die Steuereinheit 9 zieht bei einer vorgesehenen Verriegelung den Flügel 2 in eine Anzugsstellung gegen den Rahmen 1. Die Positionssensoren 11 dienen der Überwachung der Querverschiebeeinheiten 8 und senden Signale an die Steuereinheit 9. Die Steuereinheit 9 wird über ein Netzteil 14 mit elektrischem Strom versorgt und hat eine Schnittstelle 15 zur Kommunikation mit weiteren Einrichtungen 16. Bei diesen weiteren Einrichtungen 16 kann es sich beispielsweise um eine Wetterstation, eine Alarmanlage oder eine zentrale Steuereinrichtung handeln.
