Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hook block for cranes, in particular for mobile cranes, with a measuring sensor system for detecting parameters relating to the environment and/or the condition of the hook block, a crane controller processing the measured variables detected by the measuring sensor system, and a crane with such a hook block and/or with such a crane control.
- the object of the present invention is to create an improved measurement sensor system for detecting status variables of a crane.
- a crane hook block has a frame, at least one pulley connected to the frame and a load hook connected to the frame, and also includes at least one sensor arranged on the crane hook block and designed to record at least one environmental parameter and/or at least one state parameter of the crane hook block an interface connected to the at least one sensor and configured to transmit the data received from the at least one sensor.
- a crane hook block of conventional design is supplemented by a sensor system in order to carry out measurements directly on or in the area of the crane hook block and to be able to determine status variables of the crane directly on this basis without deriving them indirectly from several measured values, which is complex and accompanied by the disadvantages described above to have to.
- the crane hook block In order to be able to transmit the measurement data recorded by the sensor or sensors to a crane controller, the crane hook block also has an interface for data transmission. In principle, it is conceivable to connect the interface of the crane hook block to a corresponding interface of the crane control via a data cable, but a wireless radio connection between the corresponding interfaces is preferable here.
- environmental parameters can be detected in the immediate or also in the near vicinity of the bottom hook block.
- one or more selected sub-areas or the entire area surrounding the crane hook block can be viewed using a camera or Video image capture can be monitored.
- the created images or image data can provide information directly about the surroundings of the crane hook block on a screen arranged, for example, in the crane cabin. This data can be used, for example, to check whether the crane hook block is directly above a load to be attached or whether there are obstacles in the area of the hoist rope, the crane hook block or the load that need to be taken into account.
- the generated images or image data can be fed in a known manner to an automated, computer-aided image processing system in order to automatically recognize depicted objects and to feed the data obtained to the operating personnel or the crane control.
- an automatic warning can be given of possible obstacles or people in the work area of the bottom hook block and, if necessary, crane functions can be restricted or even blocked for safety reasons.
- the distance between the crane hook block and persons or objects or obstacles can also be detected by means of suitable optical sensors or other suitable sensors on the crane hook block.
- suitable optical sensors or other suitable sensors on the crane hook block In this way, not only can the distance between the hook and a load to be attached be recorded, but also the distance between the crane hook block and the roller head on the boom tip.
- the latter application has the advantage that an impending collision of the crane hook block with the roller head is recognized long before actual contact is made and suitable measures can be taken, for example by increasing the braking of the lifting movement in line with the decreasing distance to the roller head.
- a sudden and thus also disadvantageous stopping of the lifting movement to prevent a collision as is the case when using conventional electromechanical lifting limit switches, no longer takes place.
- the measurements carried out directly on the hook block can also affect the crane hook block itself.
- One or more sub-areas or the entire crane hook block can be monitored using image or video image capture.
- the image or video data obtained in this way can be brought to the attention of operating personnel of the crane, or else can also be fed to computer-assisted image processing in order to automatically recognize certain states of the crane hook bottle. In this way, for example, it can be recorded how many of the existing rope pulleys are occupied by the hoist rope or how many are reeved, or whether the clevis safety device of the crane hook is in the correct position.
- the present invention offers a very significant advantage with regard to a measurement of the weight of the load attached to the load hook, which is carried out directly on the crane hook block.
- the load weight is calculated indirectly from other sensor variables or measured with insufficient accuracy by remote sensors, for example those arranged on the hoist cable drum.
- the (absolute) spatial position of the crane hook block can also be detected by means of suitable spatial position sensors, for example GPS sensors. If there are one or more reference sensors on the crane itself or on any objects, such as obstacles, loads to be attached and/or a setting down position for a load, the relative positions to these sensors and thus also to any crane components or aforementioned objects or positions can also be determined .
- suitable spatial position sensors for example GPS sensors. If there are one or more reference sensors on the crane itself or on any objects, such as obstacles, loads to be attached and/or a setting down position for a load, the relative positions to these sensors and thus also to any crane components or aforementioned objects or positions can also be determined .
- any swinging of the load can be detected via the spatial orientation, ie inclined position and/or acceleration of the crane hook block.
- the pulleys present on the crane hook block can be adjusted in terms of their speed or also in terms of their Rotational path are detected. In this way, it is no longer possible to see which and how many of the existing rope pulleys are occupied or reeved with the hoist rope.
- the rope shear i.e. the number of rope sheaves occupied or reeved with the hoist rope, can be determined via the speed and/or the rotational path of the at least one rope pulley.
- the cable shear can also be determined by detecting the change in the lifting height of the crane hook block and the detection of the length of the hoisting cable that is being spooled up or down on the drum.
- the measurement data obtained from the sensors mentioned above can be used individually or in any sensible combination to determine any desired environmental parameters or status parameters of the crane hook block, for example the aforementioned ones. Any of these environmental and/or state parameters can also be recorded in a redundant manner on the basis of different measured variables or combinations of measured variables.
- the crane hook block has a lighting unit that is used to illuminate at least part of the detection area of a camera or video camera in order to obtain a usable camera image even at night or when there is insufficient twilight or daylight.
- the sensors provided on the crane hook block, the interface and any control devices that are present to be supplied with electrical power by cable.
- the crane hook block can thus have a generator for supplying the sensors with electrical power.
- a generator for supplying the sensors with electrical power.
- the crane hook block can have an energy store, which can be charged, for example, by means of an external power source and/or the generator, in order to supply the sensors, the interface and any other electrical consumers of the crane hook block with electrical power.
- the crane hook block has an upper section comprising at least one cable pulley and a lower section comprising the load hook, which are detachably connected to one another, for example bolted.
- Such a multi-part, in particular two-part, crane hook block offers the advantage that the lower part can be easily separated from the rest of the crane hook block and also from the crane while maintaining the reeving of the hoist rope. It makes sense to assign most or even all of the sensors and the associated interface to the lower part of the crane hook block, not only to simplify maintenance and repair work on the sensors.
- This makes it possible to use the present invention with only one bottom hook block part on several cranes, without having to provide such a measuring sensor system for each crane. For example, if a crane is to be used for tasks for which the measuring sensor system according to the invention is to be used, only the lower hook block part has to be equipped for this, while the reeving can remain on the upper hook block part.
- Another aspect of the present invention relates to a crane control for a crane, in particular for a mobile crane, with an interface that can be connected to the interface of the crane hook block described above, the crane control based on at least one parameter that is detected by at least one sensor, at least one state variable of the crane is determined.
- the task of the crane control is not just limited to determining one or more status variables of the crane, it can also be used to control one or more crane functions such as lifting and lowering the load, swiveling the crane superstructure, luffing out and in or out and control or also regulate the telescoping of the crane boom on the basis of the recorded measurement data or the recorded state variables of the crane.
- the lifting speed when falling below a predetermined threshold value for the distance between the crane hook block and the boom roller head, the lifting speed can be reduced or further lifting movements can even be blocked. If an impermissible diagonal pull is detected, the lifting movement can also be blocked.
- the measurement data obtained for example camera images
- specific crane state variables for example the cable shear
- the personnel can also be informed of critical measured values (for example the presence of obstacles in the vicinity of the crane hook block) or critical state variables (for example imminent overload).
- the crane controller can use the hook block position recorded by the GPS sensor to determine the telescoping length of the crane boom.
- the horizontal relative position between the crane hook block and the crane vehicle is known via GPS sensors on the crane hook block and the crane vehicle.
- Both the crane undercarriage and the crane jib are equipped with inclination sensors as standard, from the measurement data of which conclusions can be drawn about both the inclination of the crane vehicle and the luffing angle of the crane jib. Assuming that the crane hook hangs vertically from the boom head, the boom length can be deduced by a simple angle calculation.
- the present invention also relates to a crane, in particular a mobile crane, with a crane hook block according to one of the embodiments described above and/or with a crane controller as described above.
- the figure 1 shows a one-piece crane hook block 1, in which both the total of six pulleys 3 and the simple load hook 4 are connected to a common frame 2 of the crane hook block 1.
- the crane hook block according to the invention does not differ from conventional crane hook blocks.
- the latter has a number of sensors 5 to 9 .
- the crossbeam In order to measure the weight of the load attached to the load hook 4, the crossbeam has a load sensor 9 in the form of strain gauges.
- the frame 2 In order to give the operating personnel an improved view of the load attached to the crane hook 4, the frame 2 has a camera 5 with an integrated lighting device 13 in the form of a headlight. The speed of the rope pulleys 3 is detected by a corresponding speed sensor 10 .
- the crane hook block 1 has a RADAR sensor 6 in the upper area for distance detection.
- a LIDAR sensor can also be used for this task.
- a spatial position sensor in the form of a GPS sensor 7 is provided.
- All sensors 5-9 are connected to an interface 12, which receives the measurement data determined by sensors 5-9 and transmits it via a radio link to a corresponding interface 16 of a crane controller 17 (see figure 3 ) transmitted.
- the entire measurement sensor system including sensors 5 to 9 , is supplied with electrical power via an accumulator 15 , which in turn is charged via a generator 14 .
- the generator 14 is connected to the cable pulleys 3 via a shaft and thus generates electrical power when the crane hook block 1 is raised or lowered.
- the figure 2 shows a further, two-part embodiment of the crane hook block according to the invention. This differs from the one in the figure 1 shown embodiment essentially only in that the frame 2 has an upper part 2A with the pulleys 3 and a lower part 2B with a double hook 4.
- the lower part 2B can be detachably connected to the upper part 2A by means of four boltings, which are not designated in any more detail.
- the entire measurement sensor system including the sensors 5 to 9, the interface 12 and the energy store 15 is arranged in the lower part 2B of the crane hook block 1.
- the speed as well as the angular position of the individual cable pulleys 3 is recorded by an optical camera 5 and a computer-aided image evaluation, which detects optical markings on the cable pulleys 3 in the images created by the camera 5 and thus infers the rotational speed and angular position of the cable pulleys 3.
- This functionality could alternatively be accomplished by a sensor ring on at least one pulley 3 and a corresponding Hall sensor in the lower hook block part 2B.
- the figure 3 shows a mobile crane 15 with the hook block 1 according to the invention and a corresponding crane control 17 including interface 16 with the functionality already mentioned above for determining state variables of the crane 15 on the basis of the parameters detected by the sensors 5 to 9.

Description
The present invention relates to a hook block for cranes, in particular for mobile cranes, with a measuring sensor system for detecting parameters relating to the environment and/or the condition of the hook block, a crane controller processing the measured variables detected by the measuring sensor system, and a crane with such a hook block and/or with such a crane control.
Conventional mobile cranes have a large number of sensors, which record different measurement data and transmit them to a central data processing device or crane controller, which determines state variables of the crane based on the measurement data received, informs operating personnel about this and, if necessary, prevents impermissible states of the crane, for example by blocking individual crane functions . In known systems, individual state variables are calculated using a number of measured values. In the case of mobile cranes, for example, the load attached to the hook is regularly determined via pressure sensors on the luffing cylinder of the jib and several inclination sensors on the main and luffing jib. The same applies to the hoisting height, which is regularly calculated using the length of the hoisting rope that is reeled off or on the drum, the telescoping length and the luffing angle of the jib.
However, the indirect calculation of state variables from several measured variables has the disadvantage that due to the failure probability and measurement inaccuracy associated with each sensor, not only does the probability of a defect in the overall system increase, but measurement errors also accumulate and can thus lead to an inaccurate determination of the state variables.
The object of the present invention is to create an improved measurement sensor system for detecting status variables of a crane.
This object is achieved by the subject matter of independent patent claim 1 and independent patent claims 9 and 10 . The subclaims define preferred embodiments of the invention.
A crane hook block according to the invention has a frame, at least one pulley connected to the frame and a load hook connected to the frame, and also includes at least one sensor arranged on the crane hook block and designed to record at least one environmental parameter and/or at least one state parameter of the crane hook block an interface connected to the at least one sensor and configured to transmit the data received from the at least one sensor.
In other words, a crane hook block of conventional design is supplemented by a sensor system in order to carry out measurements directly on or in the area of the crane hook block and to be able to determine status variables of the crane directly on this basis without deriving them indirectly from several measured values, which is complex and accompanied by the disadvantages described above to have to.
In order to be able to transmit the measurement data recorded by the sensor or sensors to a crane controller, the crane hook block also has an interface for data transmission. In principle, it is conceivable to connect the interface of the crane hook block to a corresponding interface of the crane control via a data cable, but a wireless radio connection between the corresponding interfaces is preferable here.
On the one hand, using the present invention, environmental parameters can be detected in the immediate or also in the near vicinity of the bottom hook block. For example, one or more selected sub-areas or the entire area surrounding the crane hook block can be viewed using a camera or Video image capture can be monitored. The created images or image data can provide information directly about the surroundings of the crane hook block on a screen arranged, for example, in the crane cabin. This data can be used, for example, to check whether the crane hook block is directly above a load to be attached or whether there are obstacles in the area of the hoist rope, the crane hook block or the load that need to be taken into account. At this point it should be noted that the generated images or image data can be fed in a known manner to an automated, computer-aided image processing system in order to automatically recognize depicted objects and to feed the data obtained to the operating personnel or the crane control. For example, an automatic warning can be given of possible obstacles or people in the work area of the bottom hook block and, if necessary, crane functions can be restricted or even blocked for safety reasons.
The distance between the crane hook block and persons or objects or obstacles can also be detected by means of suitable optical sensors or other suitable sensors on the crane hook block. In this way, not only can the distance between the hook and a load to be attached be recorded, but also the distance between the crane hook block and the roller head on the boom tip. The latter application has the advantage that an impending collision of the crane hook block with the roller head is recognized long before actual contact is made and suitable measures can be taken, for example by increasing the braking of the lifting movement in line with the decreasing distance to the roller head. A sudden and thus also disadvantageous stopping of the lifting movement to prevent a collision, as is the case when using conventional electromechanical lifting limit switches, no longer takes place.
However, the measurements carried out directly on the hook block can also affect the crane hook block itself. One or more sub-areas or the entire crane hook block can be monitored using image or video image capture. As already noted above, the image or video data obtained in this way can be brought to the attention of operating personnel of the crane, or else can also be fed to computer-assisted image processing in order to automatically recognize certain states of the crane hook bottle. In this way, for example, it can be recorded how many of the existing rope pulleys are occupied by the hoist rope or how many are reeved, or whether the clevis safety device of the crane hook is in the correct position.
The present invention offers a very significant advantage with regard to a measurement of the weight of the load attached to the load hook, which is carried out directly on the crane hook block. In previous solutions, the load weight is calculated indirectly from other sensor variables or measured with insufficient accuracy by remote sensors, for example those arranged on the hoist cable drum.
The (absolute) spatial position of the crane hook block can also be detected by means of suitable spatial position sensors, for example GPS sensors. If there are one or more reference sensors on the crane itself or on any objects, such as obstacles, loads to be attached and/or a setting down position for a load, the relative positions to these sensors and thus also to any crane components or aforementioned objects or positions can also be determined .
The same considerations apply to the spatial alignment of the crane hook block. As soon as an inclined position of the crane hook block is detected by suitable sensors, this can be used to conclude, for example, an unwanted "diagonal pull", in which the crane hook block is not exactly above a load to be lifted, on which lifting of the load would lead to an uncontrolled swinging of this load . In principle, any swinging of the load can be detected via the spatial orientation, ie inclined position and/or acceleration of the crane hook block.
Furthermore, at least one, several or even all of the pulleys present on the crane hook block can be adjusted in terms of their speed or also in terms of their Rotational path are detected. In this way, it is no longer possible to see which and how many of the existing rope pulleys are occupied or reeved with the hoist rope. Using a measured value regarding the length of the hoist rope being spooled off or on the hoist rope drum, the rope shear, i.e. the number of rope sheaves occupied or reeved with the hoist rope, can be determined via the speed and/or the rotational path of the at least one rope pulley. Additionally or alternatively, the cable shear can also be determined by detecting the change in the lifting height of the crane hook block and the detection of the length of the hoisting cable that is being spooled up or down on the drum.
- optische Kamera zum Erfassen von Licht im sichtbaren und/oder im infraroten Teil des elektromagnetischen Spektrums, welches insbesondere von der Kranhakenflasche oder Teilen hiervon, oder von Objekten in der Umgebung der Kranhakenflasche reflektiert und/oder emittiert wird;
- RADAR-Sensor (6), insbesondere zum Erfassen des Abstands der Kranhakenflasche zu Objekten in der Umgebung der Kranhakenflasche;
- LIDAR-Sensor, insbesondere zum Erfassen des Abstands der Kranhakenflasche zu Objekten in der Umgebung der Kranhakenflasche;
- Raumpositions- bzw. GPS-Sensor, insbesondere zum Erfassen der räumlichen Position und/oder Ausrichtung der Kranhakenflasche;
- Neigungssensor, insbesondere zum Erfassen der räumlichen Ausrichtung der Kranhakenflasche oder von Teilen hiervon;
- Druck- und/oder Kraftsensor, insbesondere zum Erfassen der mechanischen Belastung der Kranhakenflasche oder von Teilen hiervon;
- Drehzahlsensor zum Erfassen der Drehzahl zumindest einer, insbesondere aller Seilrollen;
- Optical camera for capturing light in the visible and/or in the infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is reflected and/or emitted in particular by the crane hook block or parts thereof, or by objects in the vicinity of the crane hook block;
- RADAR sensor (6), in particular for detecting the distance between the crane hook block and objects in the vicinity of the crane hook block;
- LIDAR sensor, in particular for detecting the distance between the crane hook block and objects in the vicinity of the crane hook block;
- Spatial position or GPS sensor, in particular for detecting the spatial position and/or alignment of the crane hook block;
- Inclination sensor, in particular for detecting the spatial orientation of the crane hook block or parts thereof;
- Pressure and/or force sensor, in particular for detecting the mechanical load on the crane hook block or parts thereof;
- Speed sensor for detecting the speed of at least one, in particular all, cable pulleys;
- Acceleration sensor, in particular for detecting the acceleration of the crane hook block or parts thereof.
The measurement data obtained from the sensors mentioned above can be used individually or in any sensible combination to determine any desired environmental parameters or status parameters of the crane hook block, for example the aforementioned ones. Any of these environmental and/or state parameters can also be recorded in a redundant manner on the basis of different measured variables or combinations of measured variables.
It is also conceivable that the crane hook block has a lighting unit that is used to illuminate at least part of the detection area of a camera or video camera in order to obtain a usable camera image even at night or when there is insufficient twilight or daylight.
In principle, it is conceivable for the sensors provided on the crane hook block, the interface and any control devices that are present to be supplied with electrical power by cable. However, preference should be given to an autonomous power supply, for example by means of an energy store and/or a generator.
The crane hook block can thus have a generator for supplying the sensors with electrical power. In this context, it would be fundamentally conceivable to equip the crane hook block with a wind generator, a photovoltaic generator or a generator mechanically driven by an internal combustion engine or at least one pulley, with several of these generators also being able to be used.
As an alternative or in addition to such a generator, the crane hook block can have an energy store, which can be charged, for example, by means of an external power source and/or the generator, in order to supply the sensors, the interface and any other electrical consumers of the crane hook block with electrical power.
Furthermore, it is conceivable that the crane hook block has an upper section comprising at least one cable pulley and a lower section comprising the load hook, which are detachably connected to one another, for example bolted. Such a multi-part, in particular two-part, crane hook block offers the advantage that the lower part can be easily separated from the rest of the crane hook block and also from the crane while maintaining the reeving of the hoist rope. It makes sense to assign most or even all of the sensors and the associated interface to the lower part of the crane hook block, not only to simplify maintenance and repair work on the sensors. This makes it possible to use the present invention with only one bottom hook block part on several cranes, without having to provide such a measuring sensor system for each crane. For example, if a crane is to be used for tasks for which the measuring sensor system according to the invention is to be used, only the lower hook block part has to be equipped for this, while the reeving can remain on the upper hook block part.
In this context, it also makes sense to integrate the peripherals required for the sensors, ie power generation and/or energy storage, control devices or the data interface, as far as possible in the lower part of the bottom hook block.
Another aspect of the present invention relates to a crane control for a crane, in particular for a mobile crane, with an interface that can be connected to the interface of the crane hook block described above, the crane control based on at least one parameter that is detected by at least one sensor, at least one state variable of the crane is determined. However, the task of the crane control is not just limited to determining one or more status variables of the crane, it can also be used to control one or more crane functions such as lifting and lowering the load, swiveling the crane superstructure, luffing out and in or out and control or also regulate the telescoping of the crane boom on the basis of the recorded measurement data or the recorded state variables of the crane. For example, when falling below a predetermined threshold value for the distance between the crane hook block and the boom roller head, the lifting speed can be reduced or further lifting movements can even be blocked. If an impermissible diagonal pull is detected, the lifting movement can also be blocked. In the simplest case, the measurement data obtained (for example camera images) and/or specific crane state variables (for example the cable shear) are brought to the knowledge of the operating personnel of the crane. Furthermore, the personnel can also be informed of critical measured values (for example the presence of obstacles in the vicinity of the crane hook block) or critical state variables (for example imminent overload).
For example, the crane controller can use the hook block position recorded by the GPS sensor to determine the telescoping length of the crane boom. The horizontal relative position between the crane hook block and the crane vehicle is known via GPS sensors on the crane hook block and the crane vehicle. Both the crane undercarriage and the crane jib are equipped with inclination sensors as standard, from the measurement data of which conclusions can be drawn about both the inclination of the crane vehicle and the luffing angle of the crane jib. Assuming that the crane hook hangs vertically from the boom head, the boom length can be deduced by a simple angle calculation.
The present invention also relates to a crane, in particular a mobile crane, with a crane hook block according to one of the embodiments described above and/or with a crane controller as described above.
- The weight of a load attached to the load hook can be measured by a so-called "load measuring pin", for example a traverse of the hook block provided for the load hook. One or more sensors can be provided for this purpose, for example, with which the stress on the traverse is measured, which allows direct conclusions to be drawn about the load.
- The spatial position of the load hook relative to the crane can be determined by a spatial position sensor or a GPS sensor on the bottom hook block and a corresponding reference sensor on the crane.
- The rope shear can be determined automatically via the recorded rope length/rope position of the main/auxiliary hoist and the relative change in the hook block position.
- The function of the hoist limit switch is provided contact-free by the sensors of the bottom hook block. This also detects imminent collisions with obstacles such as buildings or trees.
- A camera on the bottom hook block improves the crane driver's view of the load, the surroundings and people. The recorded images are made available to the crane driver on the display of each active control station. For example, the crane driver can also monitor the load in areas that are covered by obstacles or otherwise not visible. A lighting device can be provided for visibility in the dark.
- A diagonal pull of the load that is not permitted for crane operation is detected by an inclination sensor on the bottom hook block. This sensor can also be used to compensate for or counteract the pendulum movement of the load due to mass inertia when starting/stopping an engine, in particular the slewing gear.
- The power supply can be provided by accumulators in the bottom hook block. These can be charged by a direct current generator when the crane is in operation and at a socket on the crane vehicle when the vehicle is in motion. For example, a socket can be provided in the front area of the driver's cab, near the hook block secured to the front hitch of the crane. However, the DC generator can also be driven via the cable pulleys of the hook block.
- The measurement data recorded by the sensors are recorded by a controller with an integrated radio transceiver on the bottom hook block, transmitted to the crane controller and processed there.
