Abstract
Die vorliegende Anmeldung betrifft eine Elektrolysezelle (10) für eine Schmelzflusselektrolyseanlage, insbesondere zur Herstellung von Aluminium, die eine Elektrolytwanne (12) zur Aufnahme eines geschmolzenen Elektrolyten (14) und zumindest zwei Elektroden (16, 18) aufweist, wobei die Elektroden (16, 18) jeweils Oberflächen (16.1...16.4, 18.1...18.4) aufweisen, wobei die Oberflächen (16.1...16.4, 18.1...18.4) einander zugewandt sind, um zwischen sich einen Stromfluss durch den Elektrolyten (14) zu ermöglichen. Erfindungsgemäß ist zumindest eine der Oberflächen (16.1...16.4, 18.1...18.4) schräg zu einer vertikalen Richtung (V) ausgerichtet und sind die zumindest zwei Elektroden (16, 18) beide von oben elektrisch angeschlossen.
