Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for detecting wear in crushers in empty travel with a wear part mounted on a drive shaft.
- the wear part can in particular comprise one or more impact bars arranged on a crusher rotor, which interact with an impact plate to form a crushing gap. Due to the wear and tear, the actual crushing gap can gradually deviate from the specified target crushing gap of the crusher, so that the machine operator has to readjust the crushing gap in order to enable a constant grain diameter of the output grain generated by the crusher. In addition, if the wear part is correspondingly worn, it must also be replaced after a certain period of use.
- the crushing gap is usually measured manually at regular intervals when the crusher is at a standstill, so that the machine operator can adjust the crushing gap to the specified target value on the basis of this measurement or determines that the wear part needs to be replaced.
- the disadvantage of this is that apart from the reduced crusher productivity due to the Determination of wear, necessary downtimes and measurement errors by the machine operator can occur. If, for example, a crusher gap value incorrectly measured between a blind strip and a baffle plate were used as the starting point for readjusting the crusher gap, this measure could, in the worst case, lead to damage to the crusher, which can sometimes be dangerous for bystanders. Not least because and because the machine operator has to manually intervene in the crushing chamber to measure the crushing gap, the machine operator is exposed to a not inconsiderable risk of injury.
- the invention solves the problem in that the drive shaft accelerates from a starting angular speed to a final angular speed with a predetermined acceleration and the required drive energy is determined, after which the wear of the wear part is determined as the value assigned to the required drive energy in a given wear part characteristic curve.
- the wear of the wearing part can be reliably determined, so that manual intervention in the crushing chamber can be dispensed with.
- the invention is based on the consideration that the loss of mass caused by wear and the change in geometry of the wear part lead to a change in the moment of inertia of the wear part on the drive shaft and thus to a change in the required drive power under the same acceleration conditions. Consequently, according to the method according to the invention for the predetermined acceleration process For example, a drive power measurement of the crusher is carried out and the required energy consumption is determined from this.
- the energy expenditure determined in the context of the specified acceleration process is assigned a corresponding wear value according to a specified wear part characteristic curve, so that the wear of the wear part can be determined on the basis of the deviation of the measured drive power compared to the required drive power in the wear-free state.
- a reference run can first be carried out at a given acceleration from a starting angular speed to a final angular speed.
- the drive power can be measured, from which the required reference energy expenditure for the acceleration process can then be determined.
- this reference energy expenditure can now be assigned the wear value 0 based on the change in the geometry of the wearing part.
- the theoretical energy expenditure for the specified acceleration travel can be determined for any wear values by using the change in geometry of the wearing part at a given density of the wearing part, the mass of the wearing part and the moment of inertia acting on the drive shaft, the required drive power and thus the theoretical energy expenditure in the acceleration from a starting angular speed to a final angular speed is determined.
- the specified characteristic wear part curve for the arrangement of the wear part on the drive shaft is selected from a wear part characteristic curve set of possible different arrangements. This means that a separate wearing part characteristic curve is first created for different arrangements of the wearing part on the drive shaft, the different wearing part characteristic curves being combined into a wearing part characteristic curve set and stored, for example, in a wearing part characteristic curve memory.
- Such an arrangement can depend, for example, on the number of blow bars mounted on the drive shaft and their material properties, geometry and / or degree of wear, but also on the number of blind bars that may be provided, also mounted on the drive shaft, for mass balancing.
- the machine operator can select the wearing part characteristic curve corresponding to that arrangement from the wearing part characteristic curve set.
- the wear part or its elements can be provided with a machine-readable identification so that when the elements of the wear part are installed, the respective arrangement is recorded by appropriately arranged sensors and the corresponding wear part characteristic curve is selected from the wear part characteristic curve set can be.
- the identification can be formed, for example, by an RFID transponder.
- the invention can provide that the wearing part is one or more impact bars of an impact crusher that interact with a baffle plate and for whose output grain that actual reference grain diameter is determined which is greater than is the respective grain diameter of a predetermined volume fraction of the output grain, the total wear being determined as the difference between an actual crushing gap assigned to the actual reference grain diameter and a predetermined target crushing gap.
- the reference grain diameter which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a specified volume fraction of the output grain, is characteristic of the crushing gap, although this reference grain diameter does not have to correspond to the crushing gap depending on the specified volume fraction . If a known crushing gap is thus assigned to the reference grain diameters, the wear can be determined as a change in this crushing gap when the reference grain diameters change. The reference grain diameter and the associated crushing gap can be reliably determined if the specified volume fraction of the output grain, i.e. the sieve passage, is less than 90%.
- the reference grain diameter corresponds approximately to the crushing gap formed between the wear part and the baffle plate. This means that 90%, preferably between 75 and 85% and in particular 80% of the volume fraction of the output grain is smaller than the reference grain diameter.
- the impact rocker can be brought closer to the wear part by the amount of the total wear for a given nominal crushing gap of the impact crusher.
- the actual crushing gap thus corresponds to the specified target crushing gap despite the wear-related material wear.
- reference grain diameters and crushing gap are dependent on the respective crushed material and other crushing parameters, such as the blow bar configuration.
- the reference grain diameter is determined for different, defined crushing gaps, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain and is assigned to the respective crushing gap in a crushing gap characteristic.
- several crushing gap characteristics can be determined as crushing gap characteristics, from which the respectively suitable crushing gap characteristics can be selected during operation.
- reference grain diameters can only be determined for individual crushing gap settings and interpolated to a crushing gap characteristic.
- the wearing parts wear unevenly along their longitudinal axis, which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft, the also uneven crushing gap can lead to an undesirable grain size distribution and consequently to a lower product quality of the output grain.
- the actual reference grain diameter be determined transversely to the conveying direction of the output grain at different points and that the resulting impact plate wear is determined for each point.
- the actual reference grain diameter has to be determined separately for several regions of the output grain lying next to one another transversely to the conveying direction and the method according to the invention has to be carried out for each of these regions.
- the Crushing gap characteristic which is determined in the case of a wear part with known wear, for example in the wear-free state, can, on the other hand, be determined for the entire output grain.
- known photogrammetric methods which are implemented using a stereo camera and laser triangulation, for example, can be used for the in-situ determination of that reference grain diameter that is larger than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain.
- the disadvantage of this is their limited acquisition and processing speed, so that the conveying speeds of the material flows or the belt speed of the conveying unit must be reduced accordingly for a reliable determination of the largest grain diameter.
- belt speeds of less than 2 m / s can only be achieved. However, this also reduces the overall throughput and thus the efficiency of the crusher process.
- the grains on the conveyor unit must not overlap with such methods, which, however, is unavoidable in realistic conveyor operation.
- a depth image of the output grain conveyed past the depth sensor is recorded in sections in a detection area by a depth sensor, the recorded two-dimensional depth image being fed to a previously trained, folding neural network that has at least three consecutive folding levels, so-called convolution layers, and a downstream reference grain diameter classifier, for example can be designed as a so-called fully connected layer and the output value of which is output as a reference grain diameter that is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume part of the Output grain is.
- the reference grain diameter classifier can, however, also be formed from a plurality of quantity classifiers which are assigned to the classes of a grain size histogram, which are sorted in ascending order according to size. This has the particular advantage that the specified volume fraction can be changed subsequently, that is, after the neural network has been trained.
- the reference grain diameter classifier can, however, also be formed from a plurality of quantity classifications which are assigned to the classes of a sieve characteristic, which are sorted according to size in ascending order, so that the volume fraction or sieve passage can be determined more easily.
- the information required to determine the reference grain diameter can be extracted from the depth information after a neural network used for this purpose has been trained with training depth images with known reference grain diameters.
- the folding planes reduce the input depth images to a number of individual features, which in turn are evaluated by the downstream reference grain diameter classifier, so that the result can be determined as the reference grain diameter, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain shown in the input depth image.
- the number of folding levels provided, each of which can be followed by a pooling level for information reduction, can be at least three, preferably five, depending on the computing power available.
- a so-called flattening layer can be provided between the folding planes and the downstream reference grain diameter classifier. Since the distance between the displayed output grain and the depth sensor is mapped with only one value in the depth image for each pixel, the amount of data to be processed can be reduced, the measurement process accelerated and the memory required for the neural network reduced, in contrast to the processing of color images. As a result, the neural network can be implemented on inexpensive KI parallel computing units with GPU support and the method can be used regardless of the color of the bulk material.
- the reference grain diameter can also be increased by accelerating the measurement process even at conveyor belt speeds of 3m / s, preferably 4m / s, can be determined.
- the mentioned reduction in the amount of data in the depth image and thus in the neural network additionally reduces the susceptibility to errors for the correct determination of the reference grain diameter, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain.
- the use of depth images has the additional advantage that the measurement process is largely independent of changing exposure conditions.
- a vgg16 network Simonyan / Zisserman, Very Deep Convolutional Networks for Large-Scale Image Recognition, 2015), which is only reduced to one channel, namely for the values of the depth image points, can be used as a neural network, for example .
- the depth image can be captured with a 3D camera, for example, since it can be arranged above the output grain in the crusher due to the smaller space requirement, even if there is little space available.
- a 3D camera for example, since it can be arranged above the output grain in the crusher due to the smaller space requirement, even if there is little space available.
- several successive output values can also be averaged and the mean value can be output as the grain size distribution in the detection area and / or as the material volume in the detection area.
- the training of the neural network is made more difficult and the measurement accuracy decreases during operation if elements foreign to the output grain are in the detection range of the depth sensor. These include, for example, vibrating components of a conveyor belt itself, or other machine elements. To avoid the resulting disturbances, it is proposed that the values of those image points are removed from the depth image and / or the training depth image, the depth of which corresponds to a previously detected distance between the depth sensor and a background for this image point or exceeds this distance. In this way, disruptive image information, caused for example by vibrations of the conveyor belt, can be removed and both the depth images and the Training depth images are limited to the information relevant for the measurement.
- the training of the neural network requires large amounts of training depth images that represent the output grain to be recorded as exactly as possible. However, the amount of work required to measure the required amount of output grain is extremely high.
- sample depth images of each sample grain with a known grain diameter are first recorded and stored together with the grain diameter, after which several sample depth images are randomly combined to form a training depth image the reference grain diameter of the composite sample depth images is assigned, after which the training depth image on the input side and the assigned reference grain diameter on the output side are fed to the neural network and the weights of the individual network nodes are adapted in a learning step.
- the training method is therefore based on the consideration that by combining sample depth images of measured sample grains, diverse combinations of training depth images can be created. It is therefore sufficient to record sample depth images with a relatively small number of sample grains with their grain diameter in order to generate a large number of training depth images with which the neural network can be trained.
- the weights between the individual network nodes are adapted in a known manner in the individual training steps so that the actual output value corresponds as closely as possible to the predefined output value at the end of the neural network.
- Different activation functions can be specified at the network nodes, which are decisive for whether a sum value present at the network node is passed on to the next level of the neural network.
- the values of those image points are removed from the depth image, the depth of which corresponds to a previously detected distance between the depth sensor and the background for this image point corresponds to or exceeds this distance.
- the training depth images and the depth images of the measured output grain only have the information relevant for the measurement, whereby a more stable training behavior is achieved and the recognition rate is increased during use.
- the neural network can be trained on any type of bulk material by selecting the example images or the training depth images composed of them.
- the example depth images are combined with a random alignment to form a training depth image.
- the number of grains per example depth image the number of possible arrangements of the grains is significantly increased without more sample depth images having to be generated and an over-adaptation of the neural network is avoided.
- a separation of the grains of the output grain can be omitted and larger output grain quantities can be determined with constant conveying speed of the conveyor belt, if the sample depth images with partial overlaps are combined to form a training depth image, whereby the depth value of the training depth image in the overlapping area corresponds to the shallowest depth of both sample depth images.
- the neural network can be trained to recognize such overlaps and still be able to determine the volume of the sample grains.

Abstract
A method for detecting wear in crushers, having a wearing part (2) mounted on a drive shaft (1), during idle operation is described. In order to create a method of the type discussed in the introduction such that downtimes that impair crusher productivity can be eliminated and nevertheless reliable wear detection is made possible with low risk of injury to machine operators, it is proposed that the drive shaft (1) is accelerated from a starting angular speed (ω1) to an end angular speed (ω2) with a specified acceleration and the drive energy required for this is ascertained, whereupon the wear of the wearing part (2) is ascertained as the value assigned to the required drive energy in a specified wearing-part characteristic curve (3, 4, 5).
Description
Verfahren zur Verschleißerkennung bei Brechern in Leerfahrt Process for detecting wear in crushers when empty
Technisches Gebiet Technical area
The invention relates to a method for detecting wear in crushers in empty travel with a wear part mounted on a drive shaft.
Stand der Technik State of the art
In connection with crushers, such as impact crushers, which are used for the industrial processing of mineral bulk material, the high pressure and friction forces that occur during the processing process over time lead to wear of the heavily stressed wear part mounted on a drive shaft of the crusher. In the case of impact crusher, the wear part can in particular comprise one or more impact bars arranged on a crusher rotor, which interact with an impact plate to form a crushing gap.
Against this background, the crushing gap is usually measured manually at regular intervals when the crusher is at a standstill, so that the machine operator can adjust the crushing gap to the specified target value on the basis of this measurement or determines that the wear part needs to be replaced. The disadvantage of this, however, is that apart from the reduced crusher productivity due to the Determination of wear, necessary downtimes and measurement errors by the machine operator can occur.
Aufgabe der Erfindung Object of the invention
There is thus a need to create a method of the type described above, so that downtimes that impair the crusher productivity can be dispensed with and yet reliable wear detection is made possible with a low risk of injury for the machine operator.
The invention solves the problem in that the drive shaft accelerates from a starting angular speed to a final angular speed with a predetermined acceleration and the required drive energy is determined, after which the wear of the wear part is determined as the value assigned to the required drive energy in a given wear part characteristic curve.
As a result of these measures, when the crusher is empty, that is, when the crushed material is empty, the wear of the wearing part can be reliably determined, so that manual intervention in the crushing chamber can be dispensed with. The invention is based on the consideration that the loss of mass caused by wear and the change in geometry of the wear part lead to a change in the moment of inertia of the wear part on the drive shaft and thus to a change in the required drive power under the same acceleration conditions. Consequently, according to the method according to the invention for the predetermined acceleration process For example, a drive power measurement of the crusher is carried out and the required energy consumption is determined from this. The energy expenditure determined in the context of the specified acceleration process is assigned a corresponding wear value according to a specified wear part characteristic curve, so that the wear of the wear part can be determined on the basis of the deviation of the measured drive power compared to the required drive power in the wear-free state. To determine the wear part characteristic, in the case of an impact crusher for a given arrangement of the wear part on the drive shaft with a given wear part density or geometry, and thus a known moment of inertia, a reference run can first be carried out at a given acceleration from a starting angular speed to a final angular speed. As already described above, the drive power can be measured, from which the required reference energy expenditure for the acceleration process can then be determined. For example, under the simplified assumption of a cuboid wearing part and assuming uniform wear, this reference energy expenditure can now be assigned the wear value 0 based on the change in the geometry of the wearing part. In order to subsequently determine a wearing part characteristic curve, the theoretical energy expenditure for the specified acceleration travel can be determined for any wear values by using the change in geometry of the wearing part at a given density of the wearing part, the mass of the wearing part and the moment of inertia acting on the drive shaft, the required drive power and thus the theoretical energy expenditure in the acceleration from a starting angular speed to a final angular speed is determined. In the simplest case, it is a quadratic function, linearized around a development point, of the energy expenditure required for the specified acceleration process as a function of the change in the geometry of the wear part. For example, the change in length of the wear part in a direction of wear can be used as wear. In this context, it is recommended that the specified characteristic wear part curve for the arrangement of the wear part on the drive shaft is selected from a wear part characteristic curve set of possible different arrangements. This means that a separate wearing part characteristic curve is first created for different arrangements of the wearing part on the drive shaft, the different wearing part characteristic curves being combined into a wearing part characteristic curve set and stored, for example, in a wearing part characteristic curve memory. Such an arrangement can depend, for example, on the number of blow bars mounted on the drive shaft and their material properties, geometry and / or degree of wear, but also on the number of blind bars that may be provided, also mounted on the drive shaft, for mass balancing. If a certain arrangement of the wearing part is installed on the drive shaft at the crusher, the machine operator can select the wearing part characteristic curve corresponding to that arrangement from the wearing part characteristic curve set. In order to avoid manual, possibly incorrect, selection by the machine operator, the wear part or its elements can be provided with a machine-readable identification so that when the elements of the wear part are installed, the respective arrangement is recorded by appropriately arranged sensors and the corresponding wear part characteristic curve is selected from the wear part characteristic curve set can be. The identification can be formed, for example, by an RFID transponder.
In order to be able to determine the total wear determining the crushing gap in addition to the wear on the wearing part, the invention can provide that the wearing part is one or more impact bars of an impact crusher that interact with a baffle plate and for whose output grain that actual reference grain diameter is determined which is greater than is the respective grain diameter of a predetermined volume fraction of the output grain, the total wear being determined as the difference between an actual crushing gap assigned to the actual reference grain diameter and a predetermined target crushing gap. In connection with For impact crushers, sieve analyzes of the output grain or analyzes of the grain size distributions of the output grain have shown that the reference grain diameter, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a specified volume fraction of the output grain, is characteristic of the crushing gap, although this reference grain diameter does not have to correspond to the crushing gap depending on the specified volume fraction . In the case of a particularly preferred predetermined volume fraction of 75 to 85%, preferably 80%, the reference grain diameter corresponds approximately to the crushing gap formed between the wear part and the baffle plate. This means that 90%, preferably between 75 and 85% and in particular 80% of the volume fraction of the output grain is smaller than the reference grain diameter.
If the total wear is known, the impact rocker can be brought closer to the wear part by the amount of the total wear for a given nominal crushing gap of the impact crusher. The actual crushing gap thus corresponds to the specified target crushing gap despite the wear-related material wear.
In the case of impact crushers with a wearing part formed from one or more impact bars, it is desirable to also reliably determine the wear of the impact plates interacting with the impact bars without manual intervention in the crushing chamber. It is therefore proposed that for the output grain of the impact crusher that actual reference grain diameter is determined which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain, with the impact plate wear as the difference between an actual crushing gap assigned to the actual reference grain diameter and the sum of the Wear of a blow bar and one predetermined target crushing gap is determined. If the wear on the wear part is known, the wear on the baffle plate can thus be determined.
An assignment of reference grain diameters and crushing gap is dependent on the respective crushed material and other crushing parameters, such as the blow bar configuration. In order to enable a reliable determination of the crushing gap for a certain reference grain diameter, it is proposed that, in the case of wear parts with known wear, for example in the wear-free state, the reference grain diameter is determined for different, defined crushing gaps, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain and is assigned to the respective crushing gap in a crushing gap characteristic. To determine the wear and, as a result, the wear on the baffle plate, depending on the specified arrangement of wear parts, the type of material to be crushed and other crusher parameters, several crushing gap characteristics can be determined as crushing gap characteristics, from which the respectively suitable crushing gap characteristics can be selected during operation. In order to accelerate the determination of the required reference grain diameter for a given crushing gap, reference grain diameters can only be determined for individual crushing gap settings and interpolated to a crushing gap characteristic.
In the event that the wearing parts wear unevenly along their longitudinal axis, which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft, the also uneven crushing gap can lead to an undesirable grain size distribution and consequently to a lower product quality of the output grain. Against this background, it is recommended that the actual reference grain diameter be determined transversely to the conveying direction of the output grain at different points and that the resulting impact plate wear is determined for each point. For this purpose, only the actual reference grain diameter has to be determined separately for several regions of the output grain lying next to one another transversely to the conveying direction and the method according to the invention has to be carried out for each of these regions. the Crushing gap characteristic, which is determined in the case of a wear part with known wear, for example in the wear-free state, can, on the other hand, be determined for the entire output grain.
In principle, known photogrammetric methods, which are implemented using a stereo camera and laser triangulation, for example, can be used for the in-situ determination of that reference grain diameter that is larger than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain. The disadvantage of this, however, is their limited acquisition and processing speed, so that the conveying speeds of the material flows or the belt speed of the conveying unit must be reduced accordingly for a reliable determination of the largest grain diameter. Even with complex systems that require a lot of space, belt speeds of less than 2 m / s can only be achieved. However, this also reduces the overall throughput and thus the efficiency of the crusher process. In addition, the grains on the conveyor unit must not overlap with such methods, which, however, is unavoidable in realistic conveyor operation.
Against this background, in order to reliably detect the reference grain diameter, which is larger than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain, even in the event of overlaps at conveying speeds of more than 2 m / s, without having to take structurally complex measures, it is proposed that A depth image of the output grain conveyed past the depth sensor is recorded in sections in a detection area by a depth sensor, the recorded two-dimensional depth image being fed to a previously trained, folding neural network that has at least three consecutive folding levels, so-called convolution layers, and a downstream reference grain diameter classifier, for example can be designed as a so-called fully connected layer and the output value of which is output as a reference grain diameter that is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume part of the Output grain is. The reference grain diameter classifier can, however, also be formed from a plurality of quantity classifiers which are assigned to the classes of a grain size histogram, which are sorted in ascending order according to size. This has the particular advantage that the specified volume fraction can be changed subsequently, that is, after the neural network has been trained. The reference grain diameter classifier can, however, also be formed from a plurality of quantity classifications which are assigned to the classes of a sieve characteristic, which are sorted according to size in ascending order, so that the volume fraction or sieve passage can be determined more easily. This is based on the idea that when using two-dimensional depth images, the information required to determine the reference grain diameter can be extracted from the depth information after a neural network used for this purpose has been trained with training depth images with known reference grain diameters. The folding planes reduce the input depth images to a number of individual features, which in turn are evaluated by the downstream reference grain diameter classifier, so that the result can be determined as the reference grain diameter, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain shown in the input depth image. The number of folding levels provided, each of which can be followed by a pooling level for information reduction, can be at least three, preferably five, depending on the computing power available. In a known manner, a so-called flattening layer can be provided between the folding planes and the downstream reference grain diameter classifier. The reference grain diameter can also be increased by accelerating the measurement process even at conveyor belt speeds of 3m / s, preferably 4m / s, can be determined. The mentioned reduction in the amount of data in the depth image and thus in the neural network additionally reduces the susceptibility to errors for the correct determination of the reference grain diameter, which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain. In contrast to color or grayscale images, the use of depth images has the additional advantage that the measurement process is largely independent of changing exposure conditions. A vgg16 network (Simonyan / Zisserman, Very Deep Convolutional Networks for Large-Scale Image Recognition, 2015), which is only reduced to one channel, namely for the values of the depth image points, can be used as a neural network, for example . The depth image can be captured with a 3D camera, for example, since it can be arranged above the output grain in the crusher due to the smaller space requirement, even if there is little space available. In order to compensate for fluctuations in the detection of the grain size distribution and / or the volume and to compensate for incorrect output values of the neural network, several successive output values can also be averaged and the mean value can be output as the grain size distribution in the detection area and / or as the material volume in the detection area.
The training of the neural network is made more difficult and the measurement accuracy decreases during operation if elements foreign to the output grain are in the detection range of the depth sensor.
The training of the neural network requires large amounts of training depth images that represent the output grain to be recorded as exactly as possible. However, the amount of work required to measure the required amount of output grain is extremely high. In order to provide the neural network with sufficient training depth images to determine the reference grain diameter, it is proposed that sample depth images of each sample grain with a known grain diameter are first recorded and stored together with the grain diameter, after which several sample depth images are randomly combined to form a training depth image the reference grain diameter of the composite sample depth images is assigned, after which the training depth image on the input side and the assigned reference grain diameter on the output side are fed to the neural network and the weights of the individual network nodes are adapted in a learning step. The training method is therefore based on the consideration that by combining sample depth images of measured sample grains, diverse combinations of training depth images can be created. It is therefore sufficient to record sample depth images with a relatively small number of sample grains with their grain diameter in order to generate a large number of training depth images with which the neural network can be trained. To train the neural network, the weights between the individual network nodes are adapted in a known manner in the individual training steps so that the actual output value corresponds as closely as possible to the predefined output value at the end of the neural network. Different activation functions can be specified at the network nodes, which are decisive for whether a sum value present at the network node is passed on to the next level of the neural network. For depth image processing, it is also proposed here that the values of those image points are removed from the depth image, the depth of which corresponds to a previously detected distance between the depth sensor and the background for this image point corresponds to or exceeds this distance. As a result, the training depth images and the depth images of the measured output grain only have the information relevant for the measurement, whereby a more stable training behavior is achieved and the recognition rate is increased during use. The neural network can be trained on any type of bulk material by selecting the example images or the training depth images composed of them.
In order to further improve the training behavior and the recognition rate, it is proposed that the example depth images are combined with a random alignment to form a training depth image. As a result, given the number of grains per example depth image, the number of possible arrangements of the grains is significantly increased without more sample depth images having to be generated and an over-adaptation of the neural network is avoided.
A separation of the grains of the output grain can be omitted and larger output grain quantities can be determined with constant conveying speed of the conveyor belt, if the sample depth images with partial overlaps are combined to form a training depth image, whereby the depth value of the training depth image in the overlapping area corresponds to the shallowest depth of both sample depth images. In order to capture realistic output grain distributions, the cases in which two grains come to rest on top of one another must be taken into account. The neural network can be trained to recognize such overlaps and still be able to determine the volume of the sample grains.

Wege zur Ausführung der Erfindung Ways of Carrying Out the Invention
A method according to the invention can be used to detect wear in crushers with a wear part 2 mounted on a drive shaft 1 in empty travel. The drive shaft 1 is accelerated from a starting angular speed wi to a final angular speed 002 with a specified acceleration and the required drive energy is determined, after which the wear of the wear part 2 is determined as the value assigned to the required drive energy in a given wear part characteristic 3, 4, 5. The crusher can, for example, be an impact crusher with a crushing chamber 6, wherein the wearing part 2 can comprise one or more impact bars, as is indicated schematically in FIG. 1. The wearing part 2 is arranged on a rotor 7 that is drive-connected to the drive shaft 1 and interacts with at least one baffle plate 8 to form a crushing gap.
2 to 4 each show wear part characteristics 3, 4 and 5 determined for different arrangements of a wear part 2 on the drive shaft 1, a linear regression line being created as an approximation to the calculated individual values. The wearing part characteristic curve 3 shown in FIG. 2 relates to an arrangement of four blow bars with a predetermined geometry and density. This arrangement is also shown schematically in FIG. 1 indicated. Wearing part characteristic curve 4 of FIG. 3 relates to an arrangement which comprises two blow bars according to wearing part characteristic curve 3 and two dummy bars. Finally, a third arrangement is exemplified in FIG. 4, which likewise comprises two dummy bars and two blow bars exhibiting a defined partial wear according to the wear part characteristic curve 3.
In the case of an impact crusher, to determine one of the wearing part characteristics 3, 4, 5 for a given arrangement of the wearing part 2 on the drive shaft 1 with a known wearing part density or geometry and thus a known moment of inertia, first a reference run at a given acceleration from a starting angular speed wi to a final angular speed 002. The drive power can be measured, from which the required reference energy expenditure for the acceleration process can then be determined. Assuming geometric simplifications and uniform wear, this reference energy expenditure can thus be assigned the wear value 0 based on the change in the geometry of the wear part. In order to subsequently determine a wearing part characteristic curve, the theoretical energy expenditure for the specified acceleration travel can be determined for any wear values by using the change in geometry of the wearing part at a given density of the wearing part, the mass of the wearing part and the moment of inertia acting on the drive shaft, the required drive power and thus the Theoretical energy expenditure during the acceleration from a starting angular speed wi to a final angular speed 002 is determined. In the simplest case, there is an essentially linear relationship between the energy expenditure required for the specified acceleration process in kJ and the change in the geometry of the wear part 2 in mm. For example, the change in length of the wear part in a direction of wear can be used as wear. In order to determine the wear for a certain arrangement of the wearing part 2 on the drive shaft 1 using a method according to the invention, the different wearing part characteristics 3, 4, 5 can be assigned to a wearing part characteristic set and selected from this. As indicated in FIG. 5, the impact plate wear of an impact plate 8 during operation of the impact crusher can also be determined with the aid of a method according to the invention. For the output grain of the impact crusher, that actual reference grain diameter is determined which is greater than the respective grain diameter of a given volume fraction of the output grain. The total wear is accordingly indicated as the difference between an actual crushing gap K assigned to the determined actual reference grain diameter and a predetermined desired crushing gap. If the total wear and tear S of a wearing part 2 is known, the impact plate wear P can be determined as the difference between the actual crushing gap K assigned to the actual reference grain diameter and the sum of the wear S of a wearing part 2 and the specified target crushing gap B. .
