Generell münden diese Aussparungen an einer senkrechten Seitenwand des quaderförmigen Grundkörpers des Schraubstocks aus. Dort müssen die jeweiligen Werkstücke eingeschoben werden, um sie spannen zu können. Dies bereitet insbesondere bei kleinen und flachen Werkstücken, wie sie mit Drahterodiermaschinen typischerweise bearbeitet werden, erhebliche Probleme. Claims (14)
- Clamping device (1) with a lower jaw (2), at the front edge of which a support surface (10), which extends at least approximately in a horizontal plane, for a workpiece (11) to be clamped is provided, and with at least one clamp (3) which is arranged above the lower jaw (2) and which in the region of its back end is pivotably mounted on the upper side of the lower jaw (2) so that through actuation of a clamping means the clamp (3) is led against the upper side of the lower jaw (2), whereby the front edge (17) of the clamp (3) is pressed against the upper side of the workpiece (11) lying on the support surface (10), characterised in that a slit (32) separating an upper segment (2a) from a lower segment (2b) extends in the lower jaw (2), wherein the lower side of the lower segment (2b) forms a rest surface (4) for support on a substrate and at the upper segment (2a) the front edge is provided with the support surface (10), and wherein adjusting means for adjusting the front edge (17) are provided in the upper segment (2a).
- Clamping device (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the slit (32) extends substantially in a horizontal plane.
- Clamping device (1) according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the slit (32) has a spiral end segment in a rear region, which faces away from the front edge (17), of the lower jaw (2).
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the slit (32) has in a front region facing the front edge (17) an end segment opening at the front edge of the rest surface (4).
- Clamping device (1) according to claim 4, characterised in that the cross-sectional line of the end segment is wave-shaped.
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the adjusting means are formed by adjusting screws (35) which are guided in threaded bores (34), which form receptacles, in the upper segment.
- Clamping device (1) according to claim 6, characterised in that each adjusting screw (35) has in the lower end thereof a pin-shaped end member (35a), wherein when the adjusting screw (35) is mounted in the threaded bore (34) the pin-shaped end member (35a) protrudes beyond the lower open edge of the threaded bore (34) and presses against the upper segment (2a).
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that two adjusting means are provided.
- Clamping device (1) according to claim 8, characterised in that the receptacles for the adjusting means are symmetrical with respect to a plane of symmetry extending through the longitudinal axis of the lower jaw (2).
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the adjusting means and the associated receptacles are respectively of identical construction.
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the lower jaw (2) has a slot-shaped receptacle (33) for reception of a fastening screw by means of which the lower jaw (2) is fixable to the substrate.
- Clamping device (1) according to claim 11, characterised in that the slot-shaped receptacle (33) consists of a slot segment (16a), in which a fastening screw is guided with play, in the upper segment (2a) and a slot segment (16b) in the lower segment (2b), wherein the edges, which bound the slot segment (16b), of the lower segment (2b) form screw surfaces for mounting of the fasting screws.
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the clamping means is formed by a screw (14), which penetrates a slot (15) in the clamp (3) and the front end of which is mounted in a threaded bore (16) of the lower jaw (2) so that through actuation of the head, which is exposed at the upper side of the clamp (3), of the screw (14) the clamp (3) can be led against the lower jaw (2).
- Clamping device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the lower jaw (2) has at its upper side an inclined surface (8), which adjoins the support surface (10), as well as a boundary surface (7), which adjoins the inclined surface (8) and extends in a horizontal plane, and that for formation of a pivot mount for at least one clamp (3) the lower jaw (2) has a cylindrical recess (12), which extends parallel to the front edge (17) of the lower jaw and opens at the boundary surface (7) of the lower jaw (2) and which forms a receptacle for a cylinder segment (13) of at least one clamp (3).
