Claims (14)

  1. Foldable wiper plate comprising:
    • an hinged adapter (5) for attaching a handle,
    • a fixable plate wing (2) hinged to the hinge adapter (5) so as to pivot about a first pivot axis (7), and
    • a pivotable, passive plate wing (3),
    • latching means for automatically locking the fixable plate wing (2) when transferred to a position of use in which the bottom sides of the fixable plate wing (2) and the passive plate wing (3) lie in one plane, and comprising
    • a user-operable actuating means (4) for releasing the latching means, wherein
    the fixable plate wing (2) fixes the passive plate wing (3) in the position of use and releases it as a result of its pivoting after the latching means have been released, wherein
    the latching means being arranged on the hinged adapter (5) on the one hand and on the fixable plate wing (2) on the other hand, wherein the latching means being arranged at least on one side of the latching connection on a structural member which is elastically deformable at least in sections or on a laterally displaceable structural member which is supported slidably on the hinged adapter (5) and the actuating means (4) can be urged against the elastically deformable structural member by means of a pressure section (9), which is capable of displacing an elastically deformable or displaceable section of the structural member in such a way that the latching means are disengaged and the fixable plate wing (2) is released.
  2. Foldable wiper plate according to claim 1, characterized in that the latching means are constituted by at least one retaining latch (11) and at least one latching edge (13) which engages behind the retaining latch (11) in the position of use, the retaining latch (11) and/or the latching edge (13) being arranged on the elastically deformable or displaceable structural member.
  3. Foldable wiper plate according to claim 2, characterized in that the fixable plate wing (2) fixes the passive plate wing (3) in the position of use by means of a blocking section (12) projecting into the pivoting range of the passive plate wing (3) and forming a panel lock, and after release and as a result of pivoting of the fixable plate wing (2) the blocking section (12) is moved out of the pivoting range and the panel lock is cancelled.
  4. Foldable wiper plate according to one of the two preceding claims, characterized in that the elastically deformable structural member is the hinged adapter (5) or is arranged on the hinged adapter (5), wherein in particular a portion of a wall of the hinged adapter (5) facing the fixable plate wing (2) is elastically deformable to form the elastic zone of the structural member.
  5. The foldable wiper plate according to claim 4, characterized in that said hinged adapter (5) comprises, on the side of said fixable plate wing (2), a spring tongue embodied in particular by two opposite vertical slots and a free lower end which constitutes the elastic zone and on which the retaining latch (11) is arranged in the form of a protruding, in particular nose-shaped, pressure-receiving abutment zone which, when the actuating means (4) is actuated, comes into contact with the pressure zone (9) and is displaced by the latter, pressing in and releasing the latching edge (13).

  11. Foldable wiper plate according to one of claims 2 to 11, characterized in that the actuating means (4) is actuable against the force of a spring means (10) acting as a return spring.
  12. Foldable wiper plate according to any one of claims 2 to 9, characterized in that the latching means and the actuating means (4) are embodied in such a manner in that the actuating means (4), in a first movement, initially displaces the elastically deformable zone, releasing the latching connection formed by the retaining latch (11) and the latching edge (13) engaged behind it, and then, as the actuating means (4) moves increasingly in the direction of movement into a first release position, engages behind an abutment edge of the elastically deformable zone as a temporary restoring safeguard.
  13.
