Definitions
- the invention relates to a floor covering structure with a floor covering layer and a base layer lying directly or indirectly on the subfloor.
- Such a floor covering structure is, for example, in EP 2 615 222 A2 disclosed wherein floor panels rest on a soundproofing underlay laid on the subfloor.
- this base consists of a heavy foil and a so-called spring layer made of foam material underneath it.
- a disadvantage of this solution is the effort that results from laying the two layers (underlays and floor panels). In particular, if the two layers do not lie evenly on top of each other and the floor panels are not in contact with the heavy foil, the positive effects of the heavy foil are significantly reduced.
- the floor covering is often permanently bonded over the entire surface, with the adhesive being applied to the subfloor using a suitable notched trowel or the like.
- the floor covering is then laid in the adhesive bed using this conventional laying method.
- the movement behavior of the floor is restricted.
- this full-surface bonding is relatively well suited in terms of reducing room noise.
- the disadvantage here is that the impact sound insulation is worsened by the direct acoustic connection of the floor covering to the subfloor, for example screed.
- impact sound insulation mats can be used, which consist of a PE foam mat and have a large number of symmetrically arranged cutouts for receiving the adhesive for gluing the floor covering layer.
- a disadvantage of this solution is that due to the relatively large volume of the cutouts, the consumption of glue is significantly higher than in the conventional way.
- Another disadvantage of glued floors is the time-consuming process of uninstalling them. This is usually only possible with heavy equipment and often requires remediation of the sub-floor covering surface, particularly the screed surface.
- the well-known insulating mats provided with cutouts also make removal considerably more difficult, since the size of the cutouts makes it difficult to detach the adhesive bond to the underbody, so that—as explained above—the underbody often needs to be renovated.
- Such solutions are also not suitable for use with underfloor heating.
- these insulating mats insulate footfall sound compared to conventional solutions, this advantage comes at the expense of the disadvantage that the room sound insulation is worse than that of conventional solutions.
- the pamphlet DE 10 2005 024 437 A1 shows a floor covering structure with a floor covering layer with an adhesive layer and a base layer resting on the subfloor.
- a gap layer resulting from the application of different adhesives is provided to achieve easy deinstallation.
- the adhesive between the floor covering layer and the base layer has a greater adhesive force than the adhesive to the substrate. This ensures that when the floor covering layer that has already been laid is picked up again, at most small residues of the adhesive layer remain on the floor.
- a separating fabric is placed between the subfloor and the floor covering structure.
- Such a separating fabric facilitates disassembly by subjecting the fabric to a force that causes the fabric to tear and thus to the separation of the underbody/floor covering structure.
- release fabrics are only very complex to install, comparatively expensive and significantly worsen the acoustics of the floor compared to the solutions described above.
- the movement of the parquet is only insufficiently restricted by this separating fabric.
- the invention is based on the object of creating a floor covering structure which, with good soundproofing, enables simple assembly and deinstallation/dismantling.
- the construction according to the invention combines the advantages of a full-surface adhesive bonding as described at the outset, in particular with regard to soundproofing, swelling and shrinkage, with a high level of renovation friendliness.
- the floor covering structure has a floor covering layer, preferably consisting of a wood or wood substitute material, tiles, textile materials (carpet), linoleum and/or plastic or a combination of such materials.
- This floor covering layer can be, for example, a parquet floor covering, a design floor, a tiled floor or a laminate floor covering.
- the floor covering structure also has an adhesive layer and a base layer that lies directly or indirectly on the subfloor, for example screed, and has a recess pattern. In contrast to the insulating mat described above, the adhesive layer is applied flat to the base layer or the subfloor, so that the adhesive also essentially fills the recess pattern and comes into adhesive contact with the subfloor or the floor covering layer.
- the floor covering layer is therefore preferably connected to the base layer over a large area, with the connection to the subfloor taking place only via the adhesive accommodated in the recess pattern, so that there is only a partial connection that can be very easily detached during deinstallation.
- the Adhesive layer applied to the top layer-side surface of the base layer. Smooth or notched spatulas are preferably used.
- the recess pattern is designed as a hole pattern whose clear width is significantly smaller than in the prior art.
- This clear width of the recess pattern can be varied depending on the thickness of the base layer, the flow behavior of the adhesive, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer (parquet, laminate, design flooring, ...) and/or the adhesive application technique used.
- the clear width is designed in such a way that deinstallation can be carried out comparatively easily and the movement of the floor covering layer is reliably avoided or minimized.
- the clear width is designed according to the invention as a function of the thickness of the base layer, the flow behavior of the adhesive, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer and/or the adhesive application technique used, or, according to the invention, the clear width is dependent on the thickness of the base layer, the Flow behavior of the adhesive, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer and/or the adhesive application technique used.
- intervals of the clear width of the recess pattern there are preferred intervals of the clear width of the recess pattern, in particular the clear width of the individual recesses of the recess pattern, the thickness of the base layer and the viscosity of the adhesive.
- a cross section or a clear width of the individual recesses of the recess pattern is greater than or equal to 0.1 cm 2 and less than or equal to 100 cm 2 , in particular greater than or equal to 0.12 cm 2 and less than or equal to 28 cm 2 .
- the thickness of the base layer is greater than or equal to 0.1 mm and less than or equal to 10 mm, in particular greater than or equal to 0.2 mm and less than or equal to 4 mm.
- At least one rheological or flow property of the adhesive in particular its viscosity, is designed or selected in such a way that the adhesive can fill the recesses of the recess pattern well.
- the viscosity is greater than or equal to 800 mPas and less than or equal to 50,000 mPas, according to Brookfield at 25°C, in particular greater than or equal to 1,500 mPas and less than or equal to 10,000 mPas, according to Brookfield at 25°C.
- the adhesive is encouraged and/or ensured to run, in particular into the recesses and/or through the recesses. This is favored and/or ensured in particular by the material of the base layer.
- the base layer is designed as a heavy foil, an insulating layer, a foil and/or a textile layer or a combination of two or more of these materials.
- a foil or a thin base layer acts primarily as a separating layer for easier disassembly.
- this also has a sound-insulating effect and can compensate for any unevenness in the subfloor.
- the base layer can be constructed in multiple layers from different materials.
- the base layer can either be laid loose or attached to the underside of the flooring prior to installation.
- the subfloor is preferably primed screed.
- Uninstallation is particularly easy if the film is made of a material or is coated on one or both sides with a material that does not bond with the adhesive.
- the layer fixing of the floor to the subfloor then takes place essentially via the adhesive incorporated in the recess pattern.
- it must be taken into account that if the floor covering layer is glued to the base layer over the entire surface, slightly better room sound insulation is achieved.
- a particularly high-quality floor covering structure is obtained when the base layer is designed as a reinforcement layer or with a reinforcement layer.
- the floor covering layer can be laminated to the base layer.
- the adhesive would then be applied to the underbody.
- the material of the base layer and the adhesive are matched to one another in such a way that this layer structure forms a vapor barrier with an sd value ("water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thickness") of ⁇ 1 m. Accordingly, the layer structure then acts as a kind of climate membrane.
- this covering structure is designed in such a way that it can also be used for wall/ceiling cladding or the like. Accordingly, a wall/ceiling or floor covering should generally be subsumed under the term “floor covering structure”.
- the floor covering structure 1 has a floor covering layer 2, which can consist, for example, as a two-layer parquet with a high-quality wood top layer and a carrier layer (middle layer) 6, for example made of spruce or HDF.
- a carrier layer for example made of spruce or HDF.
- other floor coverings such as solid parquet, laminate flooring, design flooring or tiles, can also be used.
- tongue and groove profiles are usually formed on the carrier layer 6, which ensures the relative positioning of the floor panels to one another. These tongue and groove profiles can also be designed with a click profile, which allows the panels to be locked together. With the ones described bonded floor covering structures, however, such locking is not absolutely necessary.
- the base layer 8 is formed by a heavy foil, which can act both as a load distribution layer and also reliably reduces the room noise and the impact noise.
- the heavy foil ensures that the transmission of sound to rooms that may be below is reduced.
- the heavy film can have a base material from the group of polyolefins and a filler or an additive to adjust the density of the heavy film.
- the density is preferably about 3 to 6 kg/m 2 .
- the filler or additive can be a mineral or heavy spar, which makes up 80% of the weight of the heavy foil, for example.
- this base layer 8 consisting of a heavy foil is provided with a recess pattern, which is formed by circular recesses 10 in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the base layer 8 can be made up of one or more layers.
- the base layer 8 is connected to the floor covering layer 2 via an adhesive 12 which is applied over the entire surface to the large area of the base layer 8 on the side of the covering layer.
- This job can be done, for example, using a toothed spatula or the like.
- the job is done in such a way that the recesses 10 are also filled with the adhesive 12, so that adhesive columns 16 extend from a continuous adhesive layer 18 to the subfloor, which consists of screed 14 in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the floor covering structure 1 is then connected to the screed 14 accordingly via the adhesive columns 16, the cross section of which can be varied depending on the thickness of the floor covering layer 2 or the flow behavior of the adhesive 12, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer 2 and/or the adhesive application technique used.
- the clear width of these recesses 10 is also selected in such a way that the uninstalling of the floor covering structure 1 can be done comparatively easily.
- the material of the base layer 8 is preferably selected in such a way that the adhesive 12 can flow and thus optimal adhesion is supported. This choice of adhesive also applies to later reference figure 3 described embodiment.
- a heavy foil instead of a heavy foil, another suitable mat or a textile material can also be used, each of which has a recess pattern.
- the invention is also in no way limited to a circular design of the recesses 10, but the geometry of the recess can also be varied depending on the application, even within the base layer, in order to optimize the shearing behavior of the floor covering and to enable easy uninstalling.
- the particular advantage of this solution is that the adhesive 12 does not come into contact with the screed 14 over the entire area, but only at certain points. However, a flat layer of adhesive 18 can then be applied to the base layer 8 in a conventional manner.
- the base layer 8 consists of a material or is coated on one or both sides with a material that does not adhere to the adhesive, so that the position of the floor covering layer 2 can be fixed solely via the above-described adhesive columns 16 and the surface contacting of the adhesive layer 18 with the floor covering layer 6 takes place.
- the adhesive 12 would then have to be applied directly to the subfloor, for example the screed 14 .
- the floor covering layer 2 with the top layer 4 and the carrier layer/middle layer 6 is already factory-fitted with the base layer 8 figure 2 provided - in other words, the base layer 8 is laminated onto the floor covering layer 2 (carrier layer/middle layer 6 and top layer 4).
- the adhesive 12 is then corresponding figure 3 applied when laying on the subfloor, in this case the screed 14, this can of course also consist of a different material or can be provided with an underbody construction.
- the floor covering with the floor covering layer 2 and the base layer 8 is then usually laid, with the adhesive 12 being displaced by the laying pressure into the recesses 10 of the base layer 8 and coming into adhesive contact with the floor covering layer 2, in the present case the carrier layer/middle layer 6. In this way, reliable, partial bonding of the floor covering structure 1 to the subfloor is ensured.
- the concept according to the invention makes it possible to optimize the impact sound insulation and the room sound insulation compared to conventionally bonded floors. Furthermore, the consumption of adhesive is reduced due to the column-like connections, with no double application of adhesive being necessary on the base layer. Due to the partial connection of the floor covering layer, the floor covering can be removed without significant damage to the subfloor.
- the base layer 8 and the material of the adhesive 12 can be coordinated with regard to the choice of material such that this layer structure acts as a vapor barrier, with an sd value of ⁇ 1 m preferably being formed.
- a further essential advantage is that the concept according to the invention can be implemented at low cost compared to the solutions described at the outset. Compared to the conventional bonding of floor coverings must in accordance with the embodiment figure 1 only the perforated heavy foil (base layer 8) needs to be rolled out before the adhesive is applied, so that laying is considerably easier.
- a floor covering structure with a top layer made of a wood or wood substitute material, tiles or textile material and a base layer, which is glued to the subfloor or to the floor covering only on one side during installation and which is designed with a recess pattern, with the Recess pattern is filled with adhesive when laying and the floor covering occurs through the recesses in adhesive contact with the subfloor.

Description
The invention relates to a floor covering structure with a floor covering layer and a base layer lying directly or indirectly on the subfloor.
The floor covering is often permanently bonded over the entire surface, with the adhesive being applied to the subfloor using a suitable notched trowel or the like. The floor covering is then laid in the adhesive bed using this conventional laying method. Depending on the application of adhesive and the type of adhesive, the movement behavior of the floor is restricted. In addition, this full-surface bonding is relatively well suited in terms of reducing room noise. The disadvantage here, however, is that the impact sound insulation is worsened by the direct acoustic connection of the floor covering to the subfloor, for example screed.
In order to improve the impact sound insulation, intermediate layers are therefore introduced between the subfloor and the floor panel/floor covering layer, these being usually first glued to the subfloor. In a subsequent work step, this insulating underlay is then glued to the floor panel. This process is complex and expensive.
In such a laying method, impact sound insulation mats can be used, which consist of a PE foam mat and have a large number of symmetrically arranged cutouts for receiving the adhesive for gluing the floor covering layer. A disadvantage of this solution is that due to the relatively large volume of the cutouts, the consumption of glue is significantly higher than in the conventional way. Another disadvantage of glued floors is the time-consuming process of uninstalling them. This is usually only possible with heavy equipment and often requires remediation of the sub-floor covering surface, particularly the screed surface. The well-known insulating mats provided with cutouts also make removal considerably more difficult, since the size of the cutouts makes it difficult to detach the adhesive bond to the underbody, so that—as explained above—the underbody often needs to be renovated. Such solutions are also not suitable for use with underfloor heating. In addition, although these insulating mats insulate footfall sound compared to conventional solutions, this advantage comes at the expense of the disadvantage that the room sound insulation is worse than that of conventional solutions.
Also known are solutions in which a separating fabric is placed between the subfloor and the floor covering structure. Such a separating fabric facilitates disassembly by subjecting the fabric to a force that causes the fabric to tear and thus to the separation of the underbody/floor covering structure. However, such release fabrics are only very complex to install, comparatively expensive and significantly worsen the acoustics of the floor compared to the solutions described above. In addition, the movement of the parquet is only insufficiently restricted by this separating fabric.
In contrast, the invention is based on the object of creating a floor covering structure which, with good soundproofing, enables simple assembly and deinstallation/dismantling. The construction according to the invention combines the advantages of a full-surface adhesive bonding as described at the outset, in particular with regard to soundproofing, swelling and shrinkage, with a high level of renovation friendliness.
This problem is solved by a floor covering structure with the features of
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
The floor covering structure according to the invention has a floor covering layer, preferably consisting of a wood or wood substitute material, tiles, textile materials (carpet), linoleum and/or plastic or a combination of such materials. This floor covering layer can be, for example, a parquet floor covering, a design floor, a tiled floor or a laminate floor covering. The floor covering structure also has an adhesive layer and a base layer that lies directly or indirectly on the subfloor, for example screed, and has a recess pattern. In contrast to the insulating mat described above, the adhesive layer is applied flat to the base layer or the subfloor, so that the adhesive also essentially fills the recess pattern and comes into adhesive contact with the subfloor or the floor covering layer.
The floor covering layer is therefore preferably connected to the base layer over a large area, with the connection to the subfloor taking place only via the adhesive accommodated in the recess pattern, so that there is only a partial connection that can be very easily detached during deinstallation. To do this, the Adhesive layer applied to the top layer-side surface of the base layer. Smooth or notched spatulas are preferably used.
In a preferred exemplary embodiment, the recess pattern is designed as a hole pattern whose clear width is significantly smaller than in the prior art.
This clear width of the recess pattern can be varied depending on the thickness of the base layer, the flow behavior of the adhesive, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer (parquet, laminate, design flooring, ...) and/or the adhesive application technique used. In principle, the clear width is designed in such a way that deinstallation can be carried out comparatively easily and the movement of the floor covering layer is reliably avoided or minimized. In other words, the clear width is designed according to the invention as a function of the thickness of the base layer, the flow behavior of the adhesive, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer and/or the adhesive application technique used, or, according to the invention, the clear width is dependent on the thickness of the base layer, the Flow behavior of the adhesive, the shearing behavior of the floor covering layer and/or the adhesive application technique used.
There are preferred intervals of the clear width of the recess pattern, in particular the clear width of the individual recesses of the recess pattern, the thickness of the base layer and the viscosity of the adhesive. In one development, a cross section or a clear width of the individual recesses of the recess pattern is greater than or equal to 0.1 cm 2 and less than or equal to 100 cm 2 , in particular greater than or equal to 0.12 cm 2 and less than or equal to 28 cm 2 . In one development, the thickness of the base layer is greater than or equal to 0.1 mm and less than or equal to 10 mm, in particular greater than or equal to 0.2 mm and less than or equal to 4 mm. In a development, at least one rheological or flow property of the adhesive, in particular its viscosity, is designed or selected in such a way that the adhesive can fill the recesses of the recess pattern well. For this purpose, the viscosity is greater than or equal to 800 mPas and less than or equal to 50,000 mPas, according to Brookfield at 25°C, in particular greater than or equal to 1,500 mPas and less than or equal to 10,000 mPas, according to Brookfield at 25°C.
In a further development, the adhesive is encouraged and/or ensured to run, in particular into the recesses and/or through the recesses. This is favored and/or ensured in particular by the material of the base layer.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the base layer is designed as a heavy foil, an insulating layer, a foil and/or a textile layer or a combination of two or more of these materials.
If a foil or a thin base layer is used, this acts primarily as a separating layer for easier disassembly. When using a slightly thicker, elastic base layer, this also has a sound-insulating effect and can compensate for any unevenness in the subfloor.
In principle, the base layer can be constructed in multiple layers from different materials. The base layer can either be laid loose or attached to the underside of the flooring prior to installation.
In one exemplary embodiment, the subfloor is preferably primed screed.
Uninstallation is particularly easy if the film is made of a material or is coated on one or both sides with a material that does not bond with the adhesive. The layer fixing of the floor to the subfloor then takes place essentially via the adhesive incorporated in the recess pattern. However, it must be taken into account that if the floor covering layer is glued to the base layer over the entire surface, slightly better room sound insulation is achieved.
A particularly high-quality floor covering structure is obtained when the base layer is designed as a reinforcement layer or with a reinforcement layer.
In an alternative embodiment, the floor covering layer can be laminated to the base layer. In this case, the adhesive would then be applied to the underbody.
In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the material of the base layer and the adhesive are matched to one another in such a way that this layer structure forms a vapor barrier with an sd value ("water vapor diffusion equivalent air layer thickness") of ≧1 m. Accordingly, the layer structure then acts as a kind of climate membrane.

The invention is described below with reference to a floor covering structure. In principle, this covering structure is designed in such a way that it can also be used for wall/ceiling cladding or the like. Accordingly, a wall/ceiling or floor covering should generally be subsumed under the term “floor covering structure”.

Such heavy foils are known in the flooring sector, so that further explanations are unnecessary. In the concept according to the invention, this
Instead of a heavy foil, another suitable mat or a textile material can also be used, each of which has a recess pattern. The invention is also in no way limited to a circular design of the
The particular advantage of this solution is that the adhesive 12 does not come into contact with the
In one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the
The concept according to the invention makes it possible to optimize the impact sound insulation and the room sound insulation compared to conventionally bonded floors. Furthermore, the consumption of adhesive is reduced due to the column-like connections, with no double application of adhesive being necessary on the base layer. Due to the partial connection of the floor covering layer, the floor covering can be removed without significant damage to the subfloor.
As explained at the outset, the
