Description
The present invention relates to a cleaning concentrate and an aqueous, pH-neutral cleaning solution which can be produced therefrom for degreasing and for removing contaminants. The invention also relates to a use of the cleaning solution according to the invention.
Various cleaning solutions are already known for degreasing as well as for removing contaminants from non-metallic and metallic components. Nevertheless, there is a considerable need for further, as effective, inexpensive, easy-to-use and in particular also ecologically harmless cleaning solutions as possible, which should in particular be pH-neutral, for a wide range of applications.
The object of the present invention was accordingly to provide an improved aqueous, pH-neutral cleaning solution. Another object of the invention is to specify a use of the cleaning solution according to the invention.
The above-mentioned objects are achieved according to the invention by the cleaning concentrate according to
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
- 7 bis 12 Gew.-% Natiumcitrat-dihydrat;
- 7 bis 12 Gew.-% einer 65:35 v/v Mischung von Ethyllaktat und Ethanol;
- 7 to 12 wt% sodium citrate dihydrate;
- 7 to 12% by weight of a 65:35 v / v mixture of ethyl lactate and ethanol;
- 1.5 to 5% by weight of a nonionic surfactant component,
0.1 to 1.5% by weight of citric acid monohydrate in a proportion such that the cleaning solution has a pH of 5 to 7, and - the rest of the water.
The expression "65:35 v / v mixture of ethyl lactate and ethanol" is to be understood in a manner customary in the art as a mixture of 65 parts by volume of ethyl lactate and 35 parts by volume of ethanol.
The expression “obtainable by” is to be understood to the effect that the cleaning concentrate can also be produced in a technically modified manner. In particular, instead of being added as a monohydrate, the citric acid could be added in a correspondingly lower amount of anhydrous citric acid or in a correspondingly higher amount of a 50% aqueous citric acid solution. Since the molecular weight of citric acid monohydrate is 210.14 g / mol, that of anhydrous citric acid, on the other hand, is 192.13 g / mol, a correspondingly lower weight percentage would have to be used when using anhydrous citric acid.
The cleaning concentrate according to the invention is intended in particular for the production of a ready-to-use cleaning solution by adding a suitable amount of water.
The aqueous pH-neutral cleaning solution according to the invention for degreasing and for removing impurities is obtainable by diluting the cleaning concentrate according to one of the preceding claims with deionized water to 2 to 4 times the volume (claim 4).
It has surprisingly been found that a highly effective aqueous pH-neutral cleaning solution can be provided with the composition defined above.
Dementsprechend betrifft ein weiterer Aspekt der Erfindung die Verwendung der erfindungsgemässen Reinigungslösung zum Entfetten sowie zum Entfernen von Verunreinigungen an nichtmetallischen und metallischen Gegenständen (Anspruch 5).Accordingly, a further aspect of the invention relates to the use of the cleaning solution according to the invention for degreasing and for removing contaminants from non-metallic and metallic objects (claim 5).
In practice, the production of the cleaning concentrate is advantageously determined in a preliminary test. In particular, a predefined amount of sodium citrate dihydrate and corresponding amounts of the mixture of ethyl lactate and ethanol and the nonionic surfactant component in water can be made up first, and then enough citric acid can be added to achieve a desired pH value in the range from 5 to 7 . In later batches, the amounts determined in the preliminary test can then be added directly to the water.
As can be seen from the above specification of concentration ranges, the advantages according to the invention can be achieved over a certain range of compositions. An optimal effect can be achieved through a few preliminary tests, depending on the current area of application.
- 9 bis 11 Gew.-% Natiumcitrat-dihydrat;
- 6 bis 8 Gew.-% einer 65:35 v/v Mischung von Ethyllaktat und Ethanol;
- 9 to 11 wt% sodium citrate dihydrate;
- 6 to 8% by weight of a 65:35 v / v mixture of ethyl lactate and ethanol;
- 2 to 3% by weight of a nonionic surfactant component,
0.15 to 0.5% by weight of citric acid monohydrate in a proportion such that the cleaning solution has a pH of 5 to 7, and - the rest of the water.
According to a further advantageous embodiment (claim 3), the nonionic surfactant component consists of α- (2-propylheptyl) -omega-hydroxy-poly (oxy-1,2-ethanediyl). This is an effective, ecologically harmless nonionic surfactant.
The aqueous pH-neutral cleaning solution according to the invention is moreover characterized in that it exerts a passivating effect on surfaces made of stainless steel, probably through the action of the citric acid contained. Such a passivating protective effect is usually very welcome and in the present case, unlike when using nitric acid, is achieved in an environmentally friendly and comparatively harmless manner. Accordingly, according to a further advantageous embodiment (claim 6), the aqueous cleaning solution according to the invention is used for degreasing and for removing impurities from metallic objects with a surface made of a stainless steel selected from the group of chromium / nickel and chromium / nickel / molybdenum steels .
