Abstract

The invention relates to an air conditioning device and related installation method allowing the air suction direction to be changed without the need for an extra main part by changing the location of the existing parts, thus making it possible to use versatile (horizontal, vertical, limited concealed ceiling spaces, etc.) by the means of suction in different directions.

Description

    Technical Field
  • The invention relates to an air conditioning device and the related installation method allowing the air suction direction to be changed without the need for an extra main part by changing the location of the existing parts, thus making it possible to use versatile (horizontal, vertical, limited concealed ceiling spaces, etc.) by the means of suction in different directions.
  • Prior Art
  • In order to ensure the correct installation of air conditioning devices, the suction (air inlet) and outflow (air outlet) directions must be determined according to the location where the device will be assembled. Due to the fact that the suction and outflow directions of the air conditioning device used in the prior art are fixed (unidirectional use), the devices cannot show flexibility depending on the place of use, and therefore, assembly cannot be possible in every location. In limited concealed ceilings, due to the wall that is close to the suction nozzle, efficient air circulation is prevented. An extra equipment is needed to eliminate this problem.
  • Besides these problems encountered in horizontal use, it is not possible to be mounted at ground level by linear positioning of a device suitable for horizontal use. In the current design, the air intake area of the air conditioning device, which is only used in the horizontal direction, is located only at the back. For this reason, such single-option air conditioning devices are not suitable for vertical use in the form of concealed ceilings. Although this problem can be solved with an additional piece, it causes losses such as cost and labor.
  • This situation made it necessary an air conditioning device and a related assembly method that allows the air suction direction to be changed without the need for an extra main part by changing the location of the existing parts, thus making it possible to use versatile (horizontal, vertical, limited concealed ceiling spaces, etc.) by the means of suction in different directions.
  • In the document EP2851626A1 , a monolithic flap design, whose air flow direction can be changed, is mentioned. By moving this design, it becomes possible to provide orientation in many different directions. Unlike our invention, the document discloses not the air suction, but the parts on the air outflow direction. An air conditioning device which can be used in different directions by adapting the parts located on the air suction direction (interchangeably) and a related assembly method is not mentioned. However, in our invention, it is possible to change the direction of suction by using the filter and shielding plate parts on the suction direction interchangeably. Thus, depending on the installation position, it becomes possible to use the air inlet and the air outlet parallel or perpendicular to each other, provided that the outflow direction of the device remains constant.
  • In WO2007123166A1 , there is no words on air conditioning device that allows use in different locations, and it provides a solution to a completely different problem. In this application, the parts on air outflow direction are mentioned, not air suction.
  • The patent no US4958500A relates to a flap design that allows air to be sent in different directions in a single axis by controlling the air blowing ports on both sides separately in 4 different sections. However, unlike our invention, here, it discloses the parts located on the air exhaust direction, not the air suction, and there is no indication of an air conditioning device that allows use in different positions. Whereas in our invention, the adaptation of the parts above the air suction direction makes it possible to use the device in different directions (vertical or horizontal).
  • In US20150253032A1 , a flap design with an angular structure that is geometrically optimized and increases the efficiency of the air exhaust is mentioned. However, here, air suction is not come out but only the parts on the air exhaust direction is revealed.
  • In WO2012050294A1 , a movable channel port added with an additional piece and a 180 degree rotating guide flap structure is mentioned. Briefly, the mentioned document is about a flap that changes the air exhaust, and the parts on the air suction direction are not referred.
  • As a result, a solution according to the present invention which allows the air suction direction to be changed without need for an extra main part by changing the location of the existing parts was required.
  • Objectives and Brief Description of the Invention
  • The aim of the invention is to provide an air conditioning device and a related assembly method that allows the air suction direction to be changed without the need for an extra main part by changing the location of the existing parts, thus making it possible to use versatile (horizontal, vertical, limited concealed ceiling spaces, etc.) by the means of suction in different directions.
  • Another aim of the invention is to enable versatile use by changing the air suction direction. Thus, a single product that can be assembled according to any assembly location, not based on the user's order, is presented.
  • In accordance with the above objectives, the invention is an air conditioning device with a main body comprising a modular shielding plate and a modular filter, wherein shielding plate and a filter can be mounted interchangeably according to the air suction direction of the air conditioning device.
  • The preferred embodiment of the mentioned air conditioning device comprises;
    • at least one mounting pin on the free edge of the filter in the device configuration where the inflowing air and the outflowing air are perpendicular to each other,
    • at least one mounting hole on the main body corresponding to the mentioned mounting pin structures
    to enable the shielding plate and the filter to be mounted interchangeably on the main body.
  • It is a installation method of an air conditioning device to where it will be used depending on the usage or installation position of the air conditioning device wherein the shielding plate and filter are mounted interchangeably.
  • In case the inflowing air and the outflowing air forming a vertical angle during use of the device, the installation method of air conditioning device subject to the invention comprises the following steps:
    • first, installation of the shielding plate by the connection holes to the main body perpendicular to the direction of outflowing air,
    • subsequently, for placing the filter on the side surface in a way that parallel to the outflow direction, the filter is placed by sliding into the mounting channel of said shielding plate from its long edge that having no mounting pin,
    • connecting the filter to the main body from its long edge which has the mounting pin by inserting the mounting pins into the mounting hole.
  • In case the inflowing air and outflowing air forming a linear angle during use of the device, the mentioned air conditioning device installation method comprises the following steps:
    • firstly, installation the shielding plate on the side surface parallel to the direction of outflow through the connection holes,
    • subsequently, for installation of the filter to the main body in a way that perpendicular to the outflow direction, placing the filter by sliding it between the first channel and the second channel.

    Detailed Description of the Invention
  • The invention relates to an air conditioning device (1) and related installation method that allows the air suction direction to be changed without the need for an extra main part by changing the location of the existing parts, thus making it possible to use versatile (horizontal, vertical, limited concealed ceiling spaces, etc.) by the means of suction in different directions. Installation is not possible in all positions because air conditioning devices in the prior art do not show flexibility according to the place of use (the suction side is fixed).
  • The perspective view of the horizontal use of the air conditioning device (1) is given in Figure 1a, and the perspective view of its vertical use is given in Figure 2b. Likewise, the exploded assembly view in horizontal use is given in Figure 1b, and the exploded view in vertical use is given in Figure 2a. As seen from the figures, the mentioned air conditioning device (1) comprises;
    • a fan (30) that provides air flow,
    • a fan motor (31) that drives the mentioned fan (30),
    • a filter (10) with mounting pins (11), which allows the filtering of air sucked by the fan (30),
    • a heat exchanger (40) where heat transfer occurs,
    • a main body (1.1) with mounting holes (2) corresponding to mentioned mounting pins (11) and surrounds the outside of the device (1), including the fan (30) and the heat exchanger (40),
    • removable shielding plate (20) that allows easy intervention to the interior of the device (1) in case of malfunction.
  • More specifically, the invention is related to an air conditioning device (1) comprising a main body (1.1), includes a modular shielding plate (20) and a modular filter (10), which can be mounted interchangeably with each other according to the air suction direction of the air conditioning device (1). In order to enable interchangeable installation of the shielding plate (20) and the filter (10) on the main body (1.1), the air conditioning device (1) comprises;
    • at least one mounting pin (11) on the free edge of the filter (10) in vertical position of the device (1),
    • at least one mounting hole (2) on the main body (1.1) corresponding to the mentioned mounting pin (11).
  • By means of the air conditioning device (1) and installation method subject to the invention; the initial air suction direction of the device (1) can be changed by demounting and placing the shielding plate (20) and filter (10) in place of each other, which are part of the air conditioning device (1) that comes out of the manufacturer in a horizontally mountable manner. Thus, by replacing the existing parts of the air conditioning device (1) used horizontally, without using any additional parts, the air suction direction of the device (1) is changed and the use of the device (1) in limited concealed/clip-in/suspended ceiling spaces or its vertical use is provided. With this change, as the product transforms from horizontal to vertical use, flexible use of the device (1) is permitted vertically by installation on the floor, wall or ceiling. In this way, depending on the conditions (limited concealed ceiling spaces, vertical and horizontal positions) of the device, it provides air suction and outflow in different directions with the extra installation possibilities
  • In the preferred embodiment of the invention, in order to enable the installation of the filter (10) in its new position; there are mounting holes (2) extending along the edge of the filter (10) that allow the flap-like mounting pins (11) inserted in to the corresponding places on the outer panel of the device (1). The filter (10) and shielding plate (20) of the air conditioning device (1), which comes out of the manufacturer in a horizontally mountable manner, is disassembled as shown in Figure 1b, and then re-assembled by changing their places as in Figure 2a.
  • In the device configuration in which the inflowing and outflowing air are in the same direction, the filter (10) placed by sliding between the first channel (1.2) and the second channel (1.3) structures formed mutually between the main body (1.1) surface and the shielding plate (20), which are parallel to each other, can stand vertically in a fixed manner by providing sufficient tension in the channel space, preferably by means of the mounting pins (11) on it (Fig 1a-b).
  • In the device configuration in which the inflowing and outflowing air are perpendicular to each other, first the shielding plate (20) is installed in the prior position of the filter (10), and due to the difference in the width of the filter (10) and the shielding plate (20), a mounting channel (20.1) structure is automatically formed in the shielding plate (20) where one edge of the filter (10) can be placed. After one edge of the filter (10) is slided into the mentioned mounting channel (20.1), in order to fix the other free edge of the filter (10) on the main body (1.1), mounting pins (11) extending along the edge of the filter (10) are inserted into the mounting holes (2) formed on the main body (1.1). Thus, by changing the position of the filter (10) in the air suction area according to the installation location, it is possible to adjust the suction and discharge directions in such a way that the air circulation efficiency is the highest (Fig2a-b).
  • Regarding the horizontal use of the mentioned air conditioning device (1), a front section view of an embodiment where the suction is provided from the back and the discharge from the front is given in Figure 3a, and a front section view of an embodiment where the suction is provided from the bottom and the discharge from the front is shown in Figure 3b. Regarding the vertical use of the mentioned air conditioning device (1), a sectional view of an embodiment where the suction is provided from the side and the discharge from the upper is given in Figure 3c.
  • By means of the air conditioning device (1) that allows versatile usage and the associated installation method; the air conditioning device (1), which comes out of the manufacturer as single type, is installed in accordance with the location of different places, and the air inflow and air outflow directions can be determined later. More specifically, in the assembly method of the said air conditioning device (1); depending on the usage or installation position of the device, the modular shielding plate (20) and the modular filter (10) can be installed interchangeably.
  • In case the inflowing air and the outflowing air forming a vertical angle during use of the device (1); the installation method of an air conditioning device (1) includes the following steps:
    • firstly, installation of the shielding plate (20) to the main body (1.1) perpendicular to the direction of outflow through the connection holes (20.2),
    • subsequently, for placing the filter (10) on the side surface of the main body (1.1) in a way that parallel to the outflow direction, the filter (10) is placed by sliding into the mounting channel (20.1) of said shielding plate (20) from its long edge that having no mounting pin (11),
    • connecting the filter (10) to the main body (1.1) from its long edge which has the mounting pin (11) by inserting the mounting pins (11) into the mounting holes (2).
  • In case the inflowing air and outflowing air forming a linear angle during use of the device (1), air conditioning device (1) installation method comprises the following steps:
    • firstly, installation the shielding plate (20) on the side surface of the main body (1.1) parallel to the direction of outflow through the connection holes (20.2),
    • subsequently, for installation of the filter (10) to the main body (1.1) in a way that perpendicular to the outflow direction, placing the filter (10) by sliding it in between the first channel (1.2) and the second channel (1.3).
