Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for fixing a piece of furniture to a base, with a first plate that can be fixed to the base and has an elongated hole through which a first screw or a threaded bolt passes, and a second plate that can be fixed to the piece of furniture.
- a first plate that can be fixed to the base and has an elongated hole through which a first screw or a threaded bolt passes
- a second plate that can be fixed to the piece of furniture. which has an elongated hole through which a second screw or a threaded bolt passes, the first screw or the threaded bolt and the second screw or the threaded bolt being fixed to one another via a connecting element, the elongated hole on the first plate in the longitudinal direction at an angle to the longitudinal direction of the Slot can be aligned on the second plate, and a method for fixing a furniture body to a substrate.
- the DE 10 2012 105 618 A1 discloses a support device for a piece of furniture, which has a support which can be fixed on the floor and to which a plate-shaped holder is fixed.
- the holder is fixed to the support via bolts, so that the holder connected to a piece of furniture can prevent the piece of furniture from tipping over, for example when a heavy drawer is moved into an open position.
- the production and assembly of the support with the plate-shaped holder is comparatively complex.
- JP 5 213 677 B2 discloses a fitting with two spaced plates, each of which has a screw passing through it, the two screws being screwed into a nut with their ends. Although this allows a height adjustment, the position of the plates is precisely specified by the screws, which makes assembly difficult. Attaching the adhesive mats to hold the screw heads is also time-consuming. A similar construction is shown in JP H08 294425 A .
- metal brackets with elongated holes are also used, which are fixed to a furniture body and the subsurface using fasteners.
- Such metal angles are for example in DE 20 2012 104 750 U1 , JP S59 187348 U and JP S55 16738 U disclosed.
- the alignment of the metal bracket and connection via fasteners has the disadvantage that the alignment of the two brackets to each other is difficult, especially when a first bracket is fixed to the furniture body and a second bracket to the floor.
- the position of the piece of furniture is precisely specified and its position can only be changed by remounting one of the mounting brackets.
- the metal brackets are difficult to glue to the floor.
- a first plate that can be fixed to a base has an elongated hole through which a first screw or a threaded bolt passes
- a second plate that can be fixed to a piece of furniture has an elongated hole through which a second screw or a threaded bolt passes is penetrated, wherein the two screws or the threaded bolt or bolts are fixed to one another via a connecting element and the longitudinal direction of the two oblong holes can be aligned at an angle to one another.
- the angular orientation refers to the mounted position.
- the piece of furniture can be aligned relative to the ground by adjusting the first and/or second screw and/or the threaded bolt along the elongated hole of the first and/or second plate, in particular by moving it, and also subsequently adjusted. Only when the two screws or the threaded bolt or bolts are fixed in the desired position of the elongated hole and fixed to one another via the connecting element is the piece of furniture held in the desired position on the ground and, for example, secured against tipping when a drawer is attached to the piece of furniture is moved to an extended position. Due to the angular orientation of the elongated holes, the furniture can be adjusted in different directions take place even if the first panel is already set or fixed to the substrate.
- the longitudinal direction of the elongated hole in the first plate extends essentially at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the elongated hole in the second plate. This allows the adjustment range to be kept rectangular or square via the two long holes.
- Each elongated hole can have a length of between 20 mm and 80 mm, in particular 30 mm and 50 mm, for example, in order to ensure that the piece of furniture can be positioned flexibly on the floor.
- the elongated hole is preferably formed in a groove-shaped depression or channel-shaped depression, with a head of the first or second screw being held in the groove-shaped depression in a rotationally fixed manner.
- the indentation is preferably formed integrally in the panel, for example by stamping, and is adapted to prevent rotational movement of the screw head relative to the panel.
- the head of the screw can be designed as a hexagon, rectangle or square in plan view, with opposite wall sections of the head of the screw each contacting a wall on the depression.
- the associated elongated holes in the recess are preferably formed in the base of the recess and have a width that allows a threaded section of the screw to be pushed through, but prevents the screw head from being pushed through.
- at least one of the screws can also be designed as a hammer head screw, which can be subsequently inserted and fixed in a slot on a plate.
- a threaded bolt and a nut can be held on at least one of the plates.
- the groove-shaped depressions with the elongated hole are preferably linear, but can optionally also be slightly curved or angled.
- the connecting element between the two screws or the threaded bolt comprises a threaded rod and/or a nut.
- the threaded rod can be cut to the desired length, so that the device can be used flexibly for different heights at which the distance between the underside of a floor of the furniture body and the ground can vary. This results in significant advantages, especially when it comes to kitchen installation.
- the first screw can then be connected to the connecting element via a first nut and the second can be connected to the connecting element via a second nut.
- Connecting element can also be designed as a nut, one end of the first screw and one end of the second screw also being screwed into the nut in order to connect the two screws to one another.
- the threads can, for example, have a pitch of between 0.5 mm and 2 mm, in particular essentially 1 to 1.5 mm, so that a simple screwing of the nut from the threaded rod onto a threaded section of one of the two screws is ensured.
- the first screw is fixed to the first plate by a first lock nut and/or the second screw is fixed to the second plate by a second lock nut.
- the screw can then be fixed using the lock nut, which simplifies assembly.
- the screw can then first be pre-fixed in the desired position in order to then be connected to the other screw via the connecting element.
- first and/or second plate For easy manufacture of the first and/or second plate, these can be made of bent and stamped sheet metal.
- Each panel can have one or more openings for fasteners, such as screws, wherein the openings can optionally be formed on embossings to create a defined distance between the panel and a surface on the base or an underside of a furniture body. This prevents a screw head from getting stuck in the recess of the plate when the plate is fixed in place.
- the first plate and the second plate are preferably of identical construction, so that identical parts can be produced.
- the plates can also be made of plastic or other materials.
- the first panel can also be glued to the substrate. Such bonding may be necessary, especially for floors with underfloor heating.
- the first panel can also have adhesive channels and profiles or openings that ensure distribution of the adhesive and secure fixing of the panel to the substrate.
- the second panel can also be glued to the underside of the furniture body.
- the two plates each comprise an elongated hole, each elongated hole being penetrated by a screw or a threaded bolt whose axial longitudinal axes are aligned in the installed position.
- the device according to the invention is mounted in particular on furniture, in particular on kitchen furniture, in which the furniture is positioned as an island in the middle of the room. Then it is not possible to secure the furniture against tipping by wall mounting.
- the device is fixed to the underside of a floor of the furniture body, for example by screwing the second plate to the floor.
- the first panel is fixed to the base by screws or adhesives, so that after the device has been installed, the piece of furniture is secured against tipping.
- a first plate is fixed to a substrate, with a first screw or threaded bolt passing through an elongated hole in the first plate and protruding upwards.
- a second plate is fixed to an underside of a piece of furniture, with a second screw or a threaded bolt passing through an elongated hole in the second plate and protruding downwards.
- the connecting element has a threaded section, so that at least one screw, preferably both screws, are connected to the connecting element via a nut in each case.
- an axial force can essentially be avoided, in particular if the threads are co-rotating. This can prevent a panel from being lifted, even if it is glued in place and the glue has not yet fully cured.
- the connecting element can also be formed by a nut, into which a threaded section of a screw or a threaded bolt engages from opposite sides.
- a device 1 for fixing a piece of furniture to a base comprises a lower plate 2 on which an elongated hole 3 is provided, through which a lower first screw 4 passes.
- a head of the screw 4 is arranged in a recess 22 on the underside of the first plate 2, and a threaded portion of the screw 4 protrudes from the plate 2 upwards.
- a plurality of openings 20 are provided on the first plate 2, into which fastening means can optionally be inserted in order to fix the plate 2 to a substrate.
- the openings 20 are formed in the area of a pot-shaped embossing 21 which is formed protruding downwards from the plate 2 . This prevents the head of the screw 4 from jamming when the panel 2 is fixed to the substrate.
- embossings 21 can also be dispensed with due to the height of the recess 22 .
- the device 1 also includes a second plate 5, which has an elongated hole 6, on which a second screw 7 is adjustably held.
- the screw 7 is arranged in the area of a depression 60 , the depression 60 preventing the screw 7 from turning.
- a head of the screw 7 is arranged on an upper side of the plate 5 and in the area of the depression 60. while a threaded portion of the screw 7 protrudes downward.
- a plurality of openings 50 for fastening means are formed on the second plate 5, the openings 50 being arranged in the area of the embossing 51 which protrudes from the plate 5 upwards. As a result, the head of the screw 7 can be prevented from being jammed when the plate 5 is fixed to an underside of a furniture body.
- the elongated holes 3 and 6 extend at an angle to one another with their longitudinal direction, in particular essentially at right angles. As a result, the screws 4 and 7 can be aligned relative to one another as long as they are not yet fixed to one another via a connecting element 8 .
- the connecting element 8 comprises a threaded rod which connects the two screws 4 and 7 to one another in the mounted position.
- an upper nut 11 is provided on the threaded rod, which can be screwed onto the threaded section of the screw 7.
- a lower nut 9 is also provided on the threaded rod and can be screwed onto the threaded portion of the screw 4 .
- the connecting element 8 does not have to be in the form of a continuous threaded rod, but can optionally also have an unthreaded, for example cylindrical, section in the central area.
- the device 1 is shown during assembly.
- the first panel 2 is fixed to a base 13, for example a floor in a kitchen.
- the plate 2 can optionally be screwed to the base 13 using fasteners or, if such a screwing is not possible, for example because of underfloor heating, the plate 2 can also be glued to the base 13 on the underside.
- the second plate 5 is fixed to the underside of a furniture body on a base 14, for example with wood screws, if the base 14 is made of a wood material.
- the base 14 can be part of a piece of furniture that includes drawers that, due to their own weight, can cause the piece of furniture to tip over in an extended position, which the device 1 is intended to prevent.
- the connecting element 8 is mounted in the form of the threaded rod.
- the screw 4 is displaced along the elongated hole 3 and the screw 7 along the elongated hole 6 until the axis of the screw 4 and the screw 7 is arranged essentially in alignment.
- a lock nut 10 on the upper side of the plate 2 can then fix the screw 4 on the plate 2.
- a lock nut 12 can fix the screw 7 to the second plate 5 .
- the fixing via the lock nuts 10 and 12 can also take place at a later point in time, with one or both lock nuts 10 and 12 optionally also being able to be omitted.
- the connecting element 8 is connected to the upper screw 7 in that the upper nut 11 , which is designed as a long nut, ie as a nut with a longer axial extension, is screwed onto the threaded section of the screw 7 .
- the nut 11 thus engages in the thread of the screw 7 with an upper part and in the thread of the threaded rod 8 with a lower section.
- the lower nut 9 which is also designed as a long nut, is screwed onto the threaded section of the screw 4 and optionally fixed to the lock nut 10 or the plate 2 in a clamping manner. A lower portion of the nut 9 is thus in engagement with the screw 4 and an upper portion of the nut 9 is in engagement with the connecting element 8. In the mounted position, both tensile and compressive forces can be transmitted via the device.
- the device has a height H which corresponds to the distance between the underside of the floor 14 and the top of the substructure 13 .
- FIGS. 3A and 3B a modified device is shown in which a shorter connecting element 8' is used, which is also designed as a threaded rod.
- the device has a lower height h, the rest of the structure of the device with the plates 2 and 5 and the connecting element 8' being identical.
- FIG. 4A to 4C a modified device is shown, in which an even shorter connecting element 8 "is used, which is also designed as a threaded rod. About the connecting element 8 "are about the Nuts 9 and 11 the screws 4 and 7 and thus the plates 2 and 5 connected to each other.
- the height of the device can be adjusted by cutting the connecting element 8, 8' or 8" to the distance between the bottom of the base 14 and the top of the base 13, using the nuts 9 and 11 also a gap of a few millimeters between the threaded rod and one end face of the screws 4 or 7 can be bridged.
- the order can be chosen arbitrarily.
- the connecting element 8, 8' or 8" can first be fixed to the screw 7 via the nut 11, so that the downwardly hanging connecting element 8, 8' or 8" has an alignment relative to the first screw 4 on the lower first plate 2 relieved.
- the upper screw 11 can then optionally be fixed to the plate 5 via the lock nut 12 or the nut 11, in order to then connect the connecting element 8, 8' or 8" to the screw 4 via the nut 9, optionally by previously fixing the screw 4 using the lock nut 10.
- the order of the assembly steps can of course be changed.
- the height h, H of the device 1 can be, for example, between 60 mm and 400 mm, in particular 70 mm and 300 mm.
- a plate 2 or 5 is shown in detail.
- the plates 2 and 5 are preferably of identical design and are made from a bent and stamped metal sheet. A production from plastic is also possible.
- Each plate 2 and 5 comprises a slot 3 or 6 which is oriented at an angle to the respective other slot 3 or 6 in the mounted position.
- the elongated hole 3 or 6 is formed in a groove-shaped depression 22 in a bottom area, the width of the elongated hole allowing the screw 4 or 7 to be pushed through, but holding the head of the screw 4 or 7 in the depression 22 in a rotationally fixed manner.
- the indentation 22 protrudes on a first side of the plate 2 or 5, while the embossings 21, on which the openings 20 are formed, protrude on a second side opposite the first side.
- Openings may be formed that facilitate distribution of an adhesive to facilitate sticking of the plate 2 or 5 to the substrate 13 or the floor 14.
- the plates 2 and 5 have only one slot 3 or 6. It is of course possible to provide several elongated holes 3 or 6 or to design the elongated holes with a different contour, for example an opening for subsequent installation of a screw 4 or 7.
- screws 4 or 7 can be designed with a rectangular or square head instead of with a hexagonal screw head.
- a modified device 1 is shown, in which the lower first panel 2 is fixed to a base 13 and the second panel 5 is fixed to the underside of a furniture body on a floor 14, the vertical distance h between the panels being between 60 mm and 300 mm.
- a screw 4 is arranged on the lower first plate 2 and is optionally secured with a lock nut 10 when the desired position along the elongated hole 3 is set.
- an upper screw 7 ′ is held on the second plate 5 , which is designed as a hammer head screw and is longer than the screws 7 .
- the screw 7' In the preassembled position, the screw 7' is inserted through the slot 6 in the second plate 5 and a distance B between a lower end of the screw 7' and an upper end of the lower screw 4 is between 3mm and 6mm, for example.
- a head 71 of the screw 7 ′ is aligned parallel to the longitudinal direction of the elongated hole 6 in the longitudinal direction. The screw 7' can thereby be fitted to the furniture body before or after the second panel 5 is fitted.
- the measurement between the floor and the lower edge of the cupboard can be determined during assembly.
- a length of the screw 7' can be selected, which is designed as a hammer head screw.
- a lock nut 12 and a nut 80 are then screwed onto the threaded section of the screw 7' as a connecting element.
- the screw 7' with the screw head 71 is then rotated through 90°, as shown in Figure 7B and 7C is shown.
- By turning the screw head 71 it can be lowered somewhat, so that the end of the screw 7' is arranged somewhat closer to the end of the screw 4, for example between 1 mm and 3 mm.
- the threads of the upper and lower screws 7' and 4 must be aligned by moving the screws 4 and 7' in the elongated holes 3 and 6. Then the optional lock nuts 10 and 12 are tightened.
- the last step is carried out according to Figures 8A to 8C screwing on the nut designed as a connecting element 80, which is designed as a long nut and has, for example, an axial length of more than 15 mm, in particular between 20 mm and 60 mm. This avoids the lower screw 4 being pulled upwards with the first plate 2 .
- the screw 7 ′ is shown in detail, which is provided as a hammer head screw with a head 71 that is essentially rectangular in plan view and a threaded bolt 70 .
- a step 72 is formed on the side of the head 71 directed toward the threaded bolt 70 , so that a square is formed adjacent to the threaded bolt 70 .
- the square is also above the slot 6 and is then inserted into the slot 6 by rotating it through 90°, with the advantage that twisting and unintentional loosening is avoided.
- the head 71 has rounded corners 73 on diagonally opposite corners in order to enable the screw 7 ′ to be turned after it has been inserted into the elongated hole 6 .
- FIG. 10A to 10C shows a device for fixing a piece of furniture to a base according to a further exemplary embodiment, in which instead of the upper first screw 4 a nut 15 and a threaded bolt 18 are provided.
- the nut 15 is arranged within a groove-shaped depression of a plate 5', with a slot 6 being cut out on a bottom of the groove-shaped depression.
- the slot 6 has a width that only extends over part of the width of the bottom of the depression, so that the nut 15 is held captive in the groove-shaped depression.
- the width of the depression is dimensioned in such a way that the nut 15 is blocked against rotation.
- a screw 4 is mounted on the lower plate, the screw head of which is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner in a groove-shaped recess in a plate 2', with a nut with a threaded bolt screwed into it also optionally being able to be provided instead of the screw 4.
- the plate 5' is fastened to a base of a piece of furniture, with a nut 15 being inserted into the recess on the plate 5'.
- the lower panel 2' is fixed to a base 13, with the elongated holes 3 and 6 being aligned at an angle to one another, preferably at an angle greater than 60°.
- the height h between the floor and the substructure 13 can be measured in order to cut the length of the threaded bolt 18 . Then the threaded bolt 18 can be screwed into the nut 15.
- the screw 4 and the threaded bolt 18 are then displaced along the elongated holes 3 and 6 until the longitudinal axes of the screw 4 and the threaded bolt 18 are essentially aligned, as is shown in FIGS Figures 11A to 11C is shown.
- An end face of the threaded bolt 18 and the screw 4 are arranged at a distance b, for example between 1 mm and 4 mm.
- Two nuts 12 and 16 and a connecting element 80 in the form of a long nut, ie a nut with a somewhat larger extension in the longitudinal direction, are screwed onto the threaded bolt 18 .
- the nut 12 is then used as a lock nut to clamp the threaded bolt 18 to the panel 5'.
- the nut 10 is used as a lock nut in order to clamp the screw 4 to the plate 2'.
- the connecting element 80 in the form of the long nut is partially screwed by the threaded bolt 18 onto an end-side threaded section of the screw 4 .
- the nut 16 is then used as a lock nut and screwed onto the connecting element 80 so that the play on the thread between the connecting element 80 and the threaded bolt 18 is reduced.
- a plate 2' or 5' is shown in detail.
- the plates 2' and 5' can be constructed in the same way.
- the plate 2' has a groove-shaped Depression 22', which is made by forming.
- a slot 3 or 6 is formed at a bottom of the depression 22', the width of which is made smaller than the width of the bottom.
- the depth of the recess 22' is dimensioned such that the nut 15 can be inserted therein in a rotationally fixed manner.
- the plate 2' has a plurality of openings 20 through which the fastening means can be inserted.
- FIG. 14A to 14C 1 is shown a modified apparatus according to a further embodiment in which compared to the embodiment of FIG Figure 10A to 10C instead of the nut 15 and the threaded bolt 18, a screw 17 is provided on the upper plate 5'.
- the screw 17 lies with its head in a rotationally fixed manner within the groove-shaped depression of the plate 5' and engages with a threaded bolt through a slot 6 provided on a bottom of the groove-shaped depression.
- the screw 17 with the threaded bolt is selected in a suitable length or cut off so that the device can be mounted at the height H.
- a connecting element 80 in the form of a long nut can be attached to the threaded bolt of the screw 17 as in the previous exemplary embodiment screw 4 can be partially unscrewed. Furthermore, the position of the screw 17 is fixed via the nut 12 as a lock nut on the plate 5'. The screw 4 is clamped to the plate 2' via the nut 10 as a lock nut. The nut 16 is also used as a lock nut and is screwed onto the connecting element 80 so that the play on the thread between the connecting element 80 and the threaded bolt of the screw 17 is reduced. The sequence of the individual assembly steps can be carried out by the installer as desired.
- FIG 15A a further exemplary embodiment of a device for fixing a piece of furniture to a base is shown, in which the screw 17 with the long threaded section is held in a rotationally fixed manner on the lower plate 2'.
- a screw 4 or 7 with a shorter threaded section is held in a rotationally fixed manner on the upper plate 5', the connecting means 80 in the form of a long nut being screwed onto the threaded section.
- the plate 5' is screwed or glued to the floor 14.
- the lower unit, with the plate 2', the screw 17 and two nuts 12 and 16, can then be screwed into the connecting means 80, as shown in Fig Figure 15B is shown.
- the head of the screw 17 can be screwed into the connecting element 80 to such an extent that the head is in contact with the subsurface or is arranged one or a few millimeters above it. In this position, the lower plate 2' can be moved relative to the screw 17 via the slot 3.
- gluing to a substrate 13 can also take place, in which the plate 2' is raised and/or inclined, which is possible through the elongated hole 3 through which the threaded section of the screw 17 passes.
- the underside of the plate 2' and/or the substrate 13 under the plate 2' can be coated with adhesive in order to then glue the plate 2'.
- FIG 15C the mounted position is shown, in which the plate 2' is fixed to the base 13 and the connection of the plate 2' to the screw 17 is secured by the nut 10 as a lock nut.
- An optional further nut 16 as a lock nut secures the connection between the connecting element 80 and the screw 17.
- a nut or screw can also be fixed to one or more of the plates 2, 2′, 5, 5′ using fastening means or by gluing or welding. Then the nut can be fixed or adjustable on this plate, with a slot 3 or 6 and a recess being able to be dispensed with.
- a threaded bolt 18 or screw need not be threaded the full length of the bolt. Rather, a section of the screw of the threaded bolt can also be designed cylindrically or with a different contour.
- the arrangement of the panels 2, 2′, 5 and 5′ can be reversed in all of the exemplary embodiments, i.e. the panel 5, 5′ arranged at the top in the respective figure can be fixed to the ground below and the panel 2, 2′ arranged below can arranged at the top and fixed to the furniture body.
