Abstract

This pillow was created to help people sleep better, especially in certain cases :
• Anti-wrinkle and anti-crease during sleep.
• Use of CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) system.
• Post-surgical recovery or head injuries.
• Cervical ergonomics for better head and neck support.
• Specific treatments with better absorption of creams at night.
• Allows you to sleep upside down.

This pillow has a special shape, straight in contact with the mattress and rounded at the top, in contact with the face. It consists of 3 zones: the central one (2,6) to support the skull when facing upwards, and the 2 sides designed in the shape of the letter "C" (1,2,3), to sleep sideways.

Description

This pillow was created to provide better ergonomic comfort suited to the sleeping position at night, especially in the following cases:

Anti-wrinkle and anti-crease during sleep, as the face is not under pressure on the body of the pillow (5).
Use of CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) system, providing more free space for the mask and tube in the middle of the ends of the letter "C" (4).
Post-surgical recovery or head wounds, as the face is not under pressure on the body of the pillow (5).
Cervical ergonomics for better support of the head and neck, due to the visco-elastic or latex material, soft and smooth, that molds to the anatomy of the head and neck.
Specific treatments with better absorption of creams at night, as there is less material to absorb and remove the creams from the skin.
It allows you to sleep upside down, as the face is suspended in the center of the "C" with greater freedom to breathe (5).

This pillow has a special shape, straight in contact with the mattress and rounded at the top, in contact with the face. It consists of 3 zones: the central one (2,6) to support the skull when facing upwards, and the 2 sides drawn in the letter "C" (1,2,3), to sleep sideways, allowing you to sleep in the following positions:

Face up position

The head and neck are ergonomically positioned perfectly.
The neck area (6) is slightly lower than at the beginning of the nape, where it has a reinforced and slightly higher support, going down again in a pit (2) in the center of the skull, becoming the same thickness as in the neck area. Example: it is as if we lay in a mold, leaving the mark of the neck and the skull.

Left and right side position

It was designed in the shape of the "C" (almost closed) in the 2 side zones. When lying in this position, the supports (1,2,3) will be around the face, in a "C" shape.
The central void (5) makes our face loose and free from the pressure of the pillow, in order to preserve the face without creases and wrinkles, being suspended over a pillowcase close to the pillow that also prevents creases.

Face down position

The absence of texture in the center of the "C" (5) is also very comfortable for sleeping face down, as the person will have support on the forehead (1) and chin (3) and around the face, to support the weight of head, and the void in the center of the "C" (5) allows the person to breathe comfortably with the nose free and without applying pressure.
The upper part of the pillow, close to the forehead (1), is thicker than the lower part, close to the chin (3), and in the central part it has a soft pit (2) to accommodate the nape, when sleeping face up.
The pillowcase of this pillow will be tight to its shape and with a zip located on top, so as not to have contact with the skin.
The pillow is adaptable and adjustable to various sizes of the face, derived from the study carried out for the best mechanism for tightening the pillowcase (like cord/elastic, or velcro, or springs, or button) at the ends of the letter "C" (4), allowing to tighten or extend this.
The pillow will be made of visco-elastic material or latex, with 2 "voids" in the center of each "C" (5), to supress the pressure from its body and avoid contact with the face.
Its composition was developed maintaining the exceptional qualities of ergonomics and natural adaptation to the silhouette of the neck and skull, reducing pressure on the spine and improving blood circulation.
It is moldable, smooth and soft, allowing a better comfort and breathing, designed to prevent sweating, thus providing a more restful and continuous sleep.
Both the pillow and the pillowcase will have a hypoallergenic treatment.

Claims

Pillow characterized by having a special shape, straight in contact with the mattress and rounded at the top, in contact with the face, consisting of 3 zones: the central one (2,6) to support the skull when facing upwards, and the 2 sides drawn in the shape of the letter "C" (1,2,3), to sleep on the sides.
Pillow according to claim 1, characterized by that in the central area (2) there is a slight pit in the middle to fit the center of the head, and a support for the neck (6), to be used for sleeping upside down.
Pillow according to claim 1, characterized by that in the lateral areas in the form of "C", the supports (1,2,3) are around the face, leaving it suspended, loose and free of pressure from the body of the pillow , preserving the face without creases and wrinkles, both from the side and upside down, which by not having the nose under pressure allows a more comfortable breathing, as well as in the postoperative recovery from facial and cranial surgeries, by not putting pressure on the wounds.
Pillow according to claims 1 and 3, characterized by having a clamping mechanism on the pillowcase (lyke cord/elastic, or velcro, or springs, or button), at the ends of the letter "C" (4), which allows tighten or widen it, making it adaptable and adjustable to various face sizes.
Pillow according to claims 1, 3 and 4, characterized by having a distance between the ends of the "C" (4), to provide a free space for the mask and tube of CPAP devices, thus allowing greater comfort in its use and a more peaceful and continuous sleep.
Pillow according to claim 1, characterized by that the upper part of the pillow, in the forehead area (1), has a greater thickness than the lower part, close to the chin (3), providing a better ergonomics in adapting to the silhouette of the head and neck.
Pillow according to claim 1, characterized by that its core is made of visco-elastic or latex material, soft and smooth, which molds to the anatomy of the head and neck, providing better cervical ergonomics.
