Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schutzvorrichtung zur Anordnung in einen Zwischenraum zwischen zwei gekuppelten Fahrzeugen mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs von Anspruch 1. Bei Fahrzeugen des öffentlichen Personentransportes ist es üblich, zwei Fahrzeuge miteinander zu verbinden. Zum Beispiel können zwei Straßenbahnen mittels einer Kupplung miteinander verbunden werden, sodass der entstehende Fahrzeugverbund eine größere Personenzahl transportieren kann. Bei den Fahrzeugen kann es sich um ein Zugfahrzeug und einen Anhänger handeln. Es kann sich aber auch um gekuppelte Fahrzeuge handeln, welche auch jeweils eigenständig fahren können. Insbesondere wenn es sich bei den gekuppelten Fahrzeugen um jeweils eigenständige Fahrzeuge handelt und die Fahrzeuge auch Einzeltraktion fahren können, weisen die Fahrzeuge keine dauerhafte Verbindungseinrichtung auf, wie sie beispielsweise durch einen Übergang gebildet sein könnte. Zwischen den gekuppelten Fahrzeugen ergibt sich ein Zwischenraum, der üblicherweise eine Breite von ein bis zwei Metern aufweist. In etwa auf Kniehöhe erstreckt sich in diesem Zwischenraum die Kupplungsvorrichtung, welche die beiden Fahrzeuge verbindet. Nun kommt es insbesondere bei Fahrzeugen, die in innerstädtischen Bereichen verkehren, dazu, dass Personen den sich bildenden Zwischenraum nutzen, um auf die andere Seite des gekuppelten Fahrzeuges zu gelangen.
