Abstract
Description
- The object of the present invention application is to register an improved mop, which incorporates notable innovations and advantages over the techniques used up until now.
- More specifically, the invention proposes the development of an improved mop that, due to the particular arrangement thereof, allows for a more adequate cleaning of a floor adapted to the different needs of the user that may arise, using a broom brush to do so.
- Different types of mops are known in the current state of the art for use in cleaning a floor.
- The aforementioned mops usually must be used on different floors and/or floors with very different required cleaning needs.
- The present invention helps to solve and overcome the present problem since it allows for a more adequate cleaning of a floor adapted to the different needs of the user that may arise and be required, using a broom brush to do so.
- The present invention has been developed with the aim of providing an improved mop, comprising a laminar and textile body with two opposite faces, and with a suitable geometry to cover and wrap a broom brush, characterised in that the laminar and textile body incorporates or is made up of differentiated fabrics with different properties on each of the two faces thereof.
- Preferably, in the improved mop, one of the faces thereof incorporates an absorbent microfibre fabric.
- Preferably, in the improved mop, one of the faces thereof incorporates a blended fabric of absorbent microfibre and abrasive material.
- Preferably, in the improved mop, the laminar and textile body is provided with fastening means enabled to keep said body covering and wrapping the broom brush.
- Preferably, in the improved mop, the fastening means are reversible.
- Alternatively, in the improved mop, the fastening means comprise Velcro strips or similar.
- Alternatively, in the improved mop, the laminar and textile body has a rectangular geometry.
- Additionally, in the improved mop, when in use, the body is bent and folded on itself with a resulting rectangular geometry and with a perimeter that is the result of mutual stitching or adhesion of a section of the original edges of the laminar body, an interior space also resulting from said bending and folding of the body on itself, and another section of the original edges of the body that are free of stitching creating an opening enabled for the entry and exit of the broom brush in the interior space resulting from the bending and folding of the body on itself, the fastening means being arranged in the opening.
- Due to the present invention, it is possible to perform a more adequate cleaning of a floor adapted to the different needs of the user that may arise and be required, using a broom brush to do so.
- Other features and advantages of the improved mop will become apparent from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the attached drawings, in which:
-
Figures 1 ,2 and3 are schematic views that are also indicative of the use of a preferred embodiment of the improved mop of the present invention. - As shown in
Figure 1 , the improved mop of the proposed invention comprises a laminar andtextile body 1, with twoopposite faces - As can also be seen in
Figure 2 , thebody 1 has a suitable geometry to cover and wrap abroom brush 2, saidbroom brush 2 being unrelated to the proposed invention. - The
body 1 has a rectangular geometry and incorporates or is made up of differentiated fabrics with different properties on each of the twoopposite faces - More particularly, the
body 1 incorporates an absorbent microfibre fabric on oneface 11. - The
same body 1 incorporates a blended fabric of absorbent microfibre and abrasive material on the otheropposite face 12 thereof. - Furthermore, when in use, the
body 1 is bent and folded on itself with a resulting geometry that is also rectangular, with aperimeter 3 that is the result of mutual stitching or adhesion of a section of the original edges of thelaminar body 1. - Said bending and folding of the
body 1 on itself also creates an interior space 4. - At the same time, another section of the original edges of the
body 1 that are free of stitching or adhesion create anopening 5 enabled for the entry and exit of thebroom brush 2 in the interior space 4, as can also be seen inFigure 3 . - Said opening 5 is provided with reversible fastening means comprising Velcro
strips 6 or similar, which are enabled to keep saidbody 1 covering and wrapping thebroom brush 2 in the interior space 4 created by the bending and folding of thesame body 1. - According to the arrangement explained, the improved mop, by covering and wrapping the
broom brush 2, enables, when using thesame broom brush 2, theface 11 of thelaminar body 1 incorporating an absorbent microfibre fabric to come in contact with the floor to be cleaned and to apply the very cleaning properties of the absorbent microfibre on the same floor. - Likewise, according to the needs of the user himself, the bending and folding of the
same body 1 can be reversed, so that the otheropposite face 12 of thesame laminar body 1 is that which is then arranged externally, with thesame broom brush 2 covered and wrapped by thelaminar body 1 in the same way as in the previous case. In this other case, theother face 12 of thelaminar body 1 made of a blended fabric of absorbent microfibre and abrasive material is that which comes in contact with the floor to be cleaned, applying the very cleaning properties of the blended fabric of absorbent microfibre and abrasive material on the same floor. - The improved mop of the proposed invention therefore allows the properties of, for example, an absorbent microfibre textile to be used together with the properties of, for example, a blended textile that combines absorbent microfibre strips with abrasive material strips, in order to improve the conditions for removing ground-in dirt.
- The details, shapes, dimensions and other secondary elements, as well as the materials used in manufacturing the improved mop of the invention, may be suitably replaced with others that are technically equivalent and do not depart from the essential nature of the invention or from the scope defined by the claims included below.
